I’m Mighty No.57216!

Today I finally got my Mighty number! For those who have no idea what I am talking about, it’s from the Mighty Nr.9 Kickstarter a while back. You know, that game that looks like a Mega Man game and will hopefully be really great!
Either way, everyone who donated would get their own mighty number and those I am Mighty Nr.57216! =)
I am a bit sad I didn’t have the cash to pledge on a level that would get me a digital code of the game, so I’ll have to buy it later. But I sure as hell will! Since Capcom can’t seem to be bothered with Mega Man, I’m not letting Mighty Nr.9 out of my sight!

There was a reason I couldn’t donate on the “get the game” level, since I also pledge support for Shantae: ½ Genie Hero. And that game needed the pledge more than MN9, sadly I didn’t have cash at the time to do both at the “get the game” level. But I really am looking forward to both games, mostly because the little money I could offer helped make those games. I know I’m far from having made any huge contribution, but still just knowing you helped even a little feels good. I hope both games will perform well when they are released.

We are nearing the final week now, just five more days and a few hours. I’m counting from my stores midnight launch, otherwise you could just say six days. So yeah, I’m starting to feel the excitement more and more! So glad that we have a Christmas party with my work on the 29th, so I don’t have to cook anything that day. AS soon as it’s ended, it’s straight home and continue to play with my PlayStation 4! The only real downer with this is, that I have to work on Saturday the 30th. But then I have two vacation days after that, so its worth it. And since I like my job it not a bother, it could be healthy too… I don’t know if I would have left my apartment otherwise. XD

DuckTales, woohoo!

I finally got around to play DuckTales Remastered today, I have wanted to play that game for sometime. Since I am a fan of the original game for the NES.
It’s still a good game, I really love the artstyle. It feels like its taken from an episode of the cartoon and I love that the game is voiced. But it makes me sad that they didn’t make a Swedish version of the game, would have loved to hear that. But perhaps it’s for the best. The original Swedish voice actor for Uncle Scrooge died a couple of years ago. =(
The the replacement isn’t all that great imo, but he isn’t terrible either. But he is nowhere near John Harryson’s wonderful voice, he was such a great Uncle Scrooge.

The music in the game is great! Love the remixes, I’m a fan of “The Moon” song. Even if others are tired of it, I still love it. But all the other music are just as good. A great game, that I really think you should try. Now I feel like watching the old show again.

Just thirteen more days left until PlayStation 4. I couldn’t make a post now without saying anything about that, now could I!? Well, I could. But I don’t want to. =)

Batman is beaten! And the game was…

… Really good actually! I was a bit worried when Rocksteady wouldn’t be developing Batman: Arkham Origins, but it turned out pretty good! Even if I’ve had my share of bugs and that I could have done without. Some bugs made it impossible to continue, I had to exit the game and then go back into it again for it to be possible to progress through the game. Sure, it’s not that bad. But come on! I shouldn’t have to reset the game for it to work. =/

Well the game is great and both Batman and the Joker‘s new voice actors do a great job! Troy Baker who voices the Joker is scary! He does such a good job at times, that I had a hard time telling that it wasn’t Mark Hamill that voiced him! He is great the other times too, but some times he is just as I said scary.
I love how they did with Bane in this game, he is smart, powerful and great! A shame he isn’t this good IMO in the other two Arkham games. But this is so far without a doubt my favorite version of Bane.

All in all Batman: Arkham Origins is a good game and I think you should play it if you liked the other two Arkham games. If you didn’t know this is a prequel and takes place before both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. This became my 94th beaten PlayStation 3 game and my 23rd beaten game this year. Only six more games to beat my goal of having played and beaten 100 PlayStation 3 games! Well I’ve played well over a 100 games, but I only count them I beat. And now we are roughly two weeks away from the PlayStation 4 release here in Sweden! I’m getting hyped and pumped! So looking forward to try the DualShock 4. Hope these two weeks go by in a flash!

PlayStation 4 next month!

We are one month away from the release of PlayStation 4 in Europe and man, am I getting tired of waiting! I really hope this coming month will fly right by, because I really want to try the new console. I can’t wait to get my hands on the new controller (DualShock 4) and see for myself all the improvements that has been made. Everyone seems to love it, so I am really looking forward to hold it in my hands. The controller that is, what ware you thinking of!? ;)

But seriously, this month will be a killer. It will be the longest month of the entire year, without a doubt. But hopefully Batman: Arkham Origins for PS3 will keep me busy for a while. And I really hope my local GameStop will have a midnight launch, it hadn’t been decided yet. But you should think they would now about now, but I can only keep my fingers crossed. If they do a midnight launch I sure hope I can stay awake. XD

So if thinks go as I want know I’ll be getting two games on the release, Knack and hopefully Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. At least I know to 100% that I’ll be getting Knack. I’m really looking forward to that game, it looks like a fun platformer. The kind of platformers we got in the past, but seems to have been missing this gen.

Mighty No.9 and Shantae ½ Genie Hero

I bet you guys and gals already have hear of these kickstarters, I’ve have been following them both since start but I never got around to post about them. Laziness from my side and now I’m going to shamelessly promote them, even if it’s a bit late.

Mighty No.9 is the spiritual successor to Mega Man and is/will be made by a bunch of people who have worked on various Mega Man games. So that’s very promising and I’m really looking forward to see how it turns out. Judging from the money they have acquired from Kickstarter or rather will get, there is still a huge interest in a Mega Man styled game. Why Capcom has sent Mega Man too die is anyones guess, I’m hoping Mighty No.9 does really well and is turned into a series. Check out their Kickstarter for more info and stuff. Mighty No.9 Kickstarter
Right now it’s confirmed for PC, Mac, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. But if they get more cash, they will also release it on Vita, 3DS, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Keeping my fingers crossed for that PS4 version.

And the other game I want people to see is Shantae: ½ Genie Hero. It’s a game made by WayForward who most recently did DuckTales Remastered. They are also working with the guys who are making Mighty No.9 so they’ve got something in common.

From the trailer and the little I’ve tried of the GameBoy games, Shantae looks and feels like a fun old-school game. With beautiful hand drawn sprites just like DuckTales Remastered, I’m looking forward to this. I’ve posted a video below so watch that and see if it’s a game you could think of buying. They have reached 400K and it will be coming out to just about all formats out there, but give more! We get some awesome stuff in the higher levels.

Time for Kingdom Hearts in HD!

It’s finally time to revisit the world that is Kingdom Hearts, perhaps I more correctly should say worlds. Either way… It is time to dive into Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX! I have been looking forward to play the Final Mix version of Kingdom Hearts 1 for a while, so I’m pretty happy I can do that now. This is also an ultimate test for me, to see if Kingdom Hearts is still as enjoyable today as it was ten years ago. So I’ll probably get back to this later. =)

And I have also bought another game, I got it dirty cheap. Tales of Rebirth for PlayStation 2. A shame it never got an official English translation. But I want the game in my collection, hopefully I can sniff out the other Japan only Tales of games and get then in my collection. Sooner or later at least and I’ll probably only get the PlayStation 2 games.

The Last of Us is a great game!

I am a little late to the party, but I finished The Last of Us today. I enjoyed it very much, it was fun and a bit scary/creepy.
The parts in the game without any enemies are pretty creepy. Since it is so quiet, you get pretty tense.

And those damn clickers… Before playing this game I was wondering why people hated them. But yeah, damn fuckers.
I like both Joel and Ellie as characters and their whole adventure is great. I am not going to be talking more about the game, since I think you should play the game yourself.

So far its my favorite game of the year, a great experience. Like a really great movie. And now I am looking forward to Taled of Xillia, not long until it’s released.
