New month already?

Damn, time sure does fly. I had barely noticed that we had passed over to July. Haha, yeah that’s some that usually happens when I’m free from work. I tend to forget both time and days, but then again its pretty nice not having to think about all that.
I would really love to try and get a new video or something done, I feel like I want to be creative. Hm… Hopefully I can think of something.

I’ve also beaten Lollipop Chainsaw, it was a fun game. A shame it wasn’t longer, or at least had fleshed (mm, flesh…) out the story a bit more. The bosses where cool and I really liked the whole music theme, a shame there was so little of them in the game. It really had my kind of humor, hope it does well so we can have a sequel or something.
And just a while ago I beat Gravity Rush, pretty good game that too. But I found the control to be to wobbly? It was very confusing for me at times, where I was and what the hell I was doing, when I used Kat’s gravity powers. But other than that it was fun, fun but short.

Next month, or rather the end of the next month is something I really look forward to. Two of the most anticipated games for me this year is released then. They are Darksiders II and Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. Really looking forward to both those titles.
So take care until next time!

Some PS3 games I want #2

I thought it was time for another post about which games I’m currently looking forward too. There is a few this year and who knows? The list might grow even more after E3, we’ll just have to wait and see about that.

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron
Being the sequel to one of my favorite games of 2010 and a sequel to the best Transformers game out there, getting Fall of Cybertron is a no brainer for me. With added melee attacks and added Grimlock. This game is looking pretty goddamn sweet. And the addition of the other Dinobots and Combiners in the form of Bruticus, this game is likely to be much better than War for Cybertron.

Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny
This game has been out for a while in the US, but for us in Europe we will soon get it. And I’ve been interested in the game, I like it’s style. So I am gonna give this game a chance.

Darksiders II
2010 was a great year for games IMO and Darksiders was one of the best of the year. It was mix of God of War and Zelda and I loved it and Darksiders II is going to be bigger and have more stuff. And you’ll be playing as Death this time, for those of you who don’t know Darksiders are about the Four horsemen of Apocalypse. And the first game stared War. I hope DSII will continue in that Zelda style, in August we’ll know if it was worth the wait for the game.

Epic Mickey The Power of Two
I never got a chance to play the first game, but I was always interested in it. But it seems like a lot of people hated the game sadly, but know the sequel will be released just about all platforms. They are adding voice overs to the game, the game will include musical segments just like old Disney cartoons. So I am interested, this will be the game I’ll take a chance on this year, hope it’s not money thrown out the window.

The Last of Us
From the team that gave us Uncharted 2! It looks like it will be an great “zombie” game. The environments in the game looks somewhat beautiful and creepy. I have faith in what that team does and I am hoping they’ll be able to give me a scare or two…

Runners up!
Lollipop Chainsaw
This game just looks insane and sounds insane too, if you should judge the trailers. I am fascinated, it has a bit of my humor in the game. And it looks like it could be fun, we’ll see when it’s cheap.

Nintendo’s E3 2011

Thank god Nintendo’s conference wasn’t as late as Sony’s. Well late or early depending where you live. The Nintendo 3DS seems to be getting a heap of good games. Like Luigi’s Mansion 2, Super Mario 3D, just to name some really caught my attention. So I’m finally starting to feel a bit of an urge to get one, but I’ll probably wait until the price falls a bit. Or try to import one, still expensive here in Sweden.

Then we had Nintendos reveal of their new home console, with the name Wii U… I would have preferred Wii HD, Wii 2 over this name. But best I liked when it was rumored to be called Nintendo Stream. Aside from the name it look really nice, cool you are not bund by a tv. Perfect for those moments when nature calls. ;D
Well I am looking forward to get more info, since Wii U seems really interesting. And props to Nintendo for getting so many third party publishers to make games for it. I think its awesome that games like Darksiders II and Batman Arkham City will be available on this console.

Darksiders 2

We’ll finally be getting some info on Darksiders 2 soon! I can’t wait! It was one of my favorite games of 2010 and I’m buying the second one as soon as its released. The reason I’m posting is that they have released one piece of artwork from Darksiders 2. And if the artwork is any indication of the second game, you’ll be playing as
War’s
brother Death in this game. And that is something I’m looking forward to!
I’m also hoping we’ll learn something of the two remaining
Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Now we just have to sit back and wait for the information to be released in GameInformer’s July issue. It can’t come soon enough I’m hope this game will turn out just as good as the first one, at least that I can enjoy it as much as the first one.

A day with my HDTV

So I’ve had my new TV, over a day now. And damn! I’m in love, I really honestly do love my TV. It really beats the crap out of my old SDTV. Well if it didn’t I would have been very sad. So some impressions perhaps?

I’ll start with my only complaint about the TV. This is not something that makes the TV worse or anything, but I wish it would start a little faster. If you’ve turned it of and then turn it on again it takes about what? 10-15 seconds. Not to complain about that time, but it does feel like its too long, since my SDTV took about what? 3-4 seconds. This is the only thing I can complain about and that something totally worthless to complain about. Still just wanted to get that off my chest.

The image is very nice and sharp, its like day and night comparing to an SDTV. I’ve tried almost every game I own and they all look excellent! And the fact that I can see stuff in the games I couldn’t with my old TV is just awesome. Mostly its just text, but also details on characters clothes or other minor stuff. Details I really enjoy seeing.
The sound from it is really good also, it sounds more natural. Well compared to the old TV anyway. I haven’t tried hooking it up to my computer yet, I’m gonna try that over the weekend. Just for the fun of it and see how it is. Overall its a great TV and I love it and that it would turn out to be a Full-HD tv it seems, is just awesome. That was a surprise even for me. Especially since nowhere on the box does it say its a Full-HD tv, but after some googling and checking a few things out on wikipedia. That seems to be the case. I’m not complaining. ^^

In other news I have completed everything in Darksiders now. I got the platinum trophy for it too. That’s my seventh platinum. I’m not a trophy hunter, I mostly seek out an gather trophies when I don’t have anything else to play. And now I only had to finish Darksiders on the hardest difficulty, so I replayed it now on my HDTV. Will probably trade it in for Final Fantasy XIII, have to get a new copy of Darksiders later when the economy is better. Well now I’m just awaiting the release of
White Knight Chronicles, which I hope will come next week.

Darksiders! First game of the year finished!

And now I finished watching the end credits to Darksiders! Damn, what a great game. It really turned out better than would have dared to hope. It really is like a Darkish Zelda game with a big of God of War‘s combat system.
War is a pretty cool character and I want to see more of his quest for revenge. I’m not sure what more I am to say about the game. Go out and buy it! If you’ve been looking for a good adventure game in Zelda style, this is perfect for you.

I’m going to continue to get some stuff I missed in the game. Like life-shards & wrath cores. Think of them as Hearts and Magic containers. Then I’m going after some of the trophies I’ve missed in the game, when I’m done with that I’m going to put this game to rest for a bit. I will be replaying it on the hardest difficulty too, to get that trophy. But that will come when I have an HDTV. Well probably. Perhaps I’ll go trough it again before that, that all depends on what I feel like doing.

I really hope the rest of the year will be filled with games just as good as this one. This is the first time (that I can remember) a year has started of with a really good game. With games as White Knight Chronicles and Final Fantasy XIII on my own list. I sure hope they will live up to my expectations

War is coming

Darksiders is finally here! Picked up my preordered game from Gamestops.
How I love there trade ins. Trade in Two games and pay 1SEK. Only thanks to that I’ve been able to get new games the past year. Now I’m of to do my daily stuff, then I’m gonna play the shit out of this game. =)
