Xenoblade is great!
I have been playing Xenoblade Chronicles just about nonstop the last few days. It has been really hard to put the controller down, I just want to continue. A shame I couldn’t start playing it at the beginning of my vacation instead of the end of it.
I am heading to Prison Island now, can’t wait to see what events unfold and I hope I get to kick a certain Mechon’s ass real hard now. I had some problems getting to Prison Island, I was a bit under-leveled so I was having a hard time with some enemies. But after a power level session, I was back for revenge! I just saved and quite right at the entrance of Prison Island so I have no idea what kind of beasts and monsters await me. Too bad I have to get some sleep for work, otherwise I’d still be playing.
Love the game so far, the settings are big and beautiful. The cast is likable and Dunban is “Citan” of this game. So awesome. The music is fantastic and I love the voice acting. I’m not always into British voice acting, but in Xenoblade it is so damn good! Gah! I want to play more… Hopefully tomorrows workday goes by quick and I’ll be home playing again.

Xenoblade and Smash Bros
I have finally started playing Xenoblade Chronicles, I wonder how long I have waited to do that? And it feels great to have started, I love most Monolith Softwares games well at least the ones with Xeno in the title and I really had to play this one too. Since I’ve heard so many good things about it, even from people who normally don’t play JRPG’s. I’m not very far into the game, since I’ve lost myself in doing errands and checking out the huge world and I’m betting I’ve seen nothing yet. There are huge plains and fields in this game and the game really gives you a great feeling of traveling long was. This is both good and bad, since it takes a while to get too places. But once you’ve unlocked a place you can fast travel there.
The music so far is awesome! I especially like the track “You Will Know Our Names” it’s so good! Especially around the the 1minute mark, good god! My ears are in heaven! I love music like this! Ahh!! Going to play a bit more in just a bit, need to play what I can since I start working again this Thursday.

Today there was also an announcement about some new characters joining the new Super Smash Bros game. Which got me really excited since there was a rumor and a “leak” that Shulk from Xenoblade Chronicles would join the cast. We still don’t know if this is true or not, but we got two new Fire Emblem characters and a reveal that Captain Falcon is returning. We got Luciana and Robin (both male and female) as new players and Chrom seems to be Robin’s final smash.

Some of the big stuff in May
May was a pretty boring month all in all. Sure there was the release of Watch_Dogs that was much bigger than I thought it would be. And I don’t think I was alone in being surprised with how well it sold, but congrats to Ubisoft for that. Still need to play some more of that game, good think I have a three day weekend this week!
Yeah, Drakengard 3 also got its release. I imported the US version, since I wanted a physical copy of the game. A shame Square Enix decided to do digital only in Europe. But I’m really looking forward to take on that game too, since I really enjoyed Nier I have some expectations from this game.
I also went to the cinema and watched X-men Days of Future Past. What a great movie! I didn’t expect to like it as much as I did or rather that it would be so liked by so many others! I’m a sucker for comicbook movies, but it doesn’t seem like a lot of people like them. Avengers doesn’t count! ;)
Wish I could have gone and seen Godzilla too, I need to have Godzilla 98 erased from my head, that was such a disappointing cinema visit for my 15year old self. They own me a good Godzilla movie in a cinema!
Above are the games I got in May. The Nintendo games where dirty cheap, since a place where I live was selling out a bunch of stuff since they where downsizing. The PlayStation 4 games I’ve payed next to nothing for, since I’ve used preorder deals and whatnot to get as cheap as possible. You need to be able to catch good deals, when you have a really tight budget. I think everything here cost me about 800SEK, so I’m pretty pleased with that. Sure I’ve payed some money for the games I traded in, but they had a good trade in value, that’s why I didn’t pay much more in the end. So yeah, pretty pleased with that haul.

Skyward Sword beaten
Today me and Elden finished up or play session of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, it took a while but now we are finished. A good Zelda game but not my favorite, I’m not very fond of motion controls. They do work good, but I feel they are not for me, I prefer playing the Zelda games with a controller and not motion controllers. But that’s just me, no need for ya’ll to agree with me. But I would have loved to see how this game would have been if you could have picked controller type, like the pro controller for Wii. But alas, enough talk about the damn controls.
I liked the game, I like the world. Even if I would have preferred a more open world like Ocarina of Time and a bit more towns to visit. But I get why it isn’t so, so it isn’t really a problem. Just something I would like to see more of. I really like the design of the game and the graphics they’ve used, I very much enjoy the games feeling. I like Link’s design, even if he is not all that different. And I adore Zelda’s design, I think she is really cute in this game. And then we have Ghirahim, who is both a bit creepy and a little freaky.
Fi is just annoying and she treated the player like an idiot most times. There was to much holding the players hand and with “help” from her side. Like you are in a volcano etc. “Master, I’m 85% certain this is a volcano“. Well, big woop! Congrats Fi, I was to stupid to know that myself.
And as I’ve mention in other posts, I very much love that there are feelings between Link and Zelda. It make me at least all that more eager to actually save her. And you know they’ve grown up together, so they do know each other well. A lot of those things make me think that Skyward Sword, Zelda and Link are my favorite versions of the characters. I do hope they continue to flesh out Zelda & Link love/have feelings for each other stuff in coming games. I would like to see even more of it, maybe even see them being more romantically involved. Or a kiss, just more feeling. Even if it sound like there are a lot of complaints I did enjoy the game very much and it was a great game, I’m pleased and happy with it.
The next time me and Elden get together we are going to start our round of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. I haven’t gone from beginning to end on that game, so I need to finish it. After that, I’ll probably try Majora’s Mask, that I have never ever played in my whole life.

More Zelda, much more
Been playing a whole lot of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword again. Mostly since I had some time to spend with my friend whom I play it together with.
I’m not sure what I think about this game… It’s good, but I’m not sure I’ve had much fun with it. Well not entirely true either, there are some parts I’m not enjoying so much. There is a bit too much use of the motion controller, yes I do know why. But I still wish we could have gotten an option to use the pro controller and skip all the motion stuff.
If the next Zelda game will have motion controls I sure hope they are better and not
And I can’t say that I think the music is very memorable, since I can’t even remember the slightest tune from the game. It’s not bad in any way, just not as good as past games in my opinion. Still I’m driven to continue playing this game, since I really enjoy the whole Link rescues his loved one, I enjoy seeing the feelings Link and Zelda share. And would have loved if the’ve gone further with it. Well I don’t know how it ends so maybe I’ll get my wish.
I most replay A Link To The Past, again some day. It’s my favourite amongst the Zelda games, I’ll never grow tired of that game.
After we’re done with Skyward Sword we’ll go ahead and play through Twillight Princess. Looking forward to that too. But tomorrow I think I am going to start playing Mario Galaxy, I must try that game. I am very eager to see what I’ll think about that game. I was playing
Tales of Symphonia 2 before, but I am having trouble getting into the game. And besides, I’m eagerly awaiting Ni no Kuni for PS3 later this month so no more rpgs until then.
And for those of you who care, yes I’m feeling slightly better than I did when I made my last post. And in the future my “games I’ve beaten” section will be split into multiple pages sine both the Sony and Nintendo parts of that list is getting big. See ya next time!

Double dose of Tales of Symphonia!!
It’s a bit late now, but finally all the stuff from my own birthday gifts have arrived! So happy to finally have Tales of Symphonia back in my collection. I bought it when it was new and sold it soon afterwards. I’ve regretted that for the longest time, so I went out searching for after I had my 29th birthday. And found it by the end of November for a really nice price, so that’s great!
And on eBay i was lucky enough to find a cheap unopened version of Tales of Symphonia 2. My Tales of collection is of to a pretty good start so far. Just wonder when I’ll be able to add anything to this collection.
While I am replaying Tales of Graces f right now, I am hoping to replay the first Tales of Symphonia one day. And then continue with number 2, and see if it’s as bad as I’ve heard it is. Well I don’t really care, I just want all the English Tales of games in my collection!

Shake, shake. Wiggle, wiggle.
Today it happened folks. Something I really didn’t expect to happen actually. But I couldn’t resist when it was so dirty cheap. But I want to be able to play The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword and a bunch of other games. Now I am awaiting Zelda Twilight Princess and of course, Xenoblade Chronicles!
