Cybertron is falling! Get to da Arkh!!

I’m a bit Late To The Party, but I’ve just recently started to play Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. So we’ll see if the game is any good and if it lives up to my expectations, as always there will be spoilers. So if you don’t want to know anything about the game, then you can stop reading now.

There are a lot of stuff in this game that hints to the old cartoon series and the movie, I love all of the stuff. Like Grimlock and Slug’s lite quarrel over Beryllium balogna and Cesium salami. Laughed good at that and it’s those little things that flirt with the older G1 fans that I love so damn much. And there is a ton of stuff like that in the game, hope you can find them.

The gameplay feels much better and I enjoyed playing this game much more than I enjoyed the first game. Two of my favorite parts of the game is the first time you play as Megatron. You almost feel like you could take on a whole world and conquer it. And the other thing is when you finally get control of Grimlock. Oh, the beautiful, beautiful destruction. Too bad you don’t get to play as the other Dinobots. And Greg Berger reprising his role as Grimlock is awesome as hell, he really does the character justice. A shame Corey Burton didn’t reprise his role as Shockwave, he is still the best voice actor for him. Even if I really enjoyed Steven Blum in the roll, but it’s the Christoffer Lee like voice from Mr.Burton that really adds to the character.

So if you get a chance to give this game a twirl, “Me Yazuka say, you should try and play!” I don’t want to spoil anymore of the game, so if you like Transformers I really recommend you try this game. And hopefully you’ll like it too.

Disgaea D2, trailer time!

Disgaea D2 (Dimension 2) is a direct sequel to Disgaea 1, it will presumably take place a couple of years after the events of the first game. It seems like this Dimension series will be a whole new Disgaea series in its own, since Nippon Ichi Software has said they are developing Disgaea 5 too. I’m glad to see that Laharl and his gang are the starts again, I’ve missed then all as main characters. Hopefully there will be a bunch of new stuff in the game and they keep the humor at the same level as before. I do like their new appearances, well its mostly just Etna and Laharl who has changed much. Laharl most I would say.
Hopefully and most probably NISA will localize this game, I sure hope Barbra Goodson will reprise her role as Laharl. Of course I hope all the returning characters will keep their original English voice actors. Well for now, you can check out the trailer below.

Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix

My, oh, my! So its seems Square Enix finally had decided to make a Kingdom Hearts HD collection. A shame this collection doesn’t feature Kingdom Hearts 2 and Birth By Sleep. But hopefully they will follow in a second HD collection, if there ever is one.
This collection has been graced with the name Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix and will include Kingdom Hearts 1 Final Mix, KH Re:Chain of Memories and the cutscenes from KH 358/2 Days. Now we’ll just have to cross our fingers that this one will be released outside of Japan, for now check out the trailer below.

Darksiders II, Death cool, game meh!

And so I’ve beaten Darksiders II. I can’t say it has been very enjoyable, well some parts of the game where. But the first Darksiders is so much better in my opinion.
I like Death as a character he is awesome and what a voice! I could listen to him all day! Especially his annoyed/pissed/tired voice, it is so damn awesome! I really love that. The game in itself is much more boring than the first one, better bosses, better world.
Better interactions with characters. Yeah, I like just about everything in the first game more than in Darksiders II. And that’s a damn shame, since Darksiders II was one of my most anticipated titles. It was pretty nice to see Samael in this game, to get a taste of his powers. The worlds are to big for its own good, there are so many places that are empty. And I liked the style of the first game much, much more. Even if the “World of Warcraft” artwork look alike is pretty nice, but it becomes a bit too much after a while.

Death... Comes to us all...

And I fucking hate “The rule of three”. You go to a dungeon, you need to get three items to move on. And then you repeat that for just about the entire game. And the last boss was a joke, I was expecting more. A second form perhaps? But no… This is not the game I had hoped for and I am very disappointed, if there will ever be a Darksiders 3 I sure hope they do it more like Darksiders one than two.

Years later, Metal Gear Solid 3

I’ll be speaking pretty openly about this game and other games in the MGS series, have you not played them don’t read. Because you will get some things spoiled in this text.
It’s been about seven years since I first and last played Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, damn time sure flies… I say that a lot, but sometimes I feel like I have no track of time at all. At that time this was one of my favorite games, and absolutely my favorite of all the Metal Gear games. So how do I feel about it the game now after so many years?

I did not like the game as much as I once did, I didn’t find it as fun to play either. It looked great playing the HD version of the game, but for some reason I didn’t enjoy the game nearly as much as I did in the past. And my memory of the game was not very accurate at all. I can’t explain that really well, but its like I remembered a much more bigger and more epic game. Could be that I had other influences or whatever back then, or even now. Or Metal Gear Solid 4 that killed my interest in the franchise for me. I was so disappointed with that game, I was expecting so much and hopefully get some good answerers to some of the big stuff in the series…

Hey, hey! Where are you going!? Get back here! While those are some pretty negative stuff and thoughts from me, I didn’t say the game was bad. It’s just not as good as I remembered it.
I like the characters and bosses, they have a lot of character and the story is nice.
And I for one am a fan of Big Boss, or rather Naked Snake that he is known as in this game. I don’t know what I can say right now to show I don’t hate this game, but I don’t hate it. I’ve actually become more eager to play Peace Walker now, I want to see what happens there and hopefully see some of the events there that will lead Big Boss to becoming the major villain throughout the MGS series. But I’ll will take a break from the MGS games again, so it will be some time before I’ll play Peace Walker.

So all in all, I’m not a fan of the MGS series and MGS3 didn’t live up to my feelings I’ve had to the game in the past. It is by no means a bad game, I still like it a lot. And will play it again sometime in the future. And I’ll be getting Metal Gear Rising when that comes out, since it looks like a lot of fun to play. I am also hoping to get the energy to actually replay MGS4 someday, I want to see if my feeling have changed for that game. I might appreciate it more now than when it was new? Who knows, someday I’ll give it a second try.

Gotta get my Lollipop & Chainsaw on

It’s here! It’s finally here! One of this year most anticipated games, I’m excited to see if it can live up to my expectations. But gonna keep ’em down a bit so it won’t disappoint, but what I’ve seen so far I love it. Gonna play it later tonight, really looking forward to it.

Hoho, so much fun. If you know what I mean ;).

I’m gonna kick your Fal’cie ass!!

It’s been nearly a year since I last played Final Fantasy XIII, I wasn’t to enthusiastic about it then. I’m still not, but I really want to finish the game, especially since I was at the end of chapter 11. I got stuck on the Dahaka boss, that fucker kept killing me over and over. He really owned my ass, I tried a verity of strategies but he continued to make me his bitch. I lost count how many times I tried and I got fed up. So I put the game on the shelf and today for the first time in nearly a year I started playing it again.

I had another motivation his time it seemed, I spent a bit over 5hous powerleveling. Or rather powerfarming Crystal Points, I also spent a few hours fixing some sidequests.  So yeah, I upgrade my characters a bit. About time I try Dahaka again and hope he won’t rape me again.
The tables had turned my friends! This time he was the asshole begging for mercy! Or he might have done that, If the game allowed it. I took him down without any problems now, my other two characters never needed a revive either. So that felt so damn good! The last boss of chapter 11 fell without any problems either. I’ve actually had a bit of fun with the game today, getting revenge was the best.

I’m taking a break now, feeling great! But now I don’t want to put the game controller away! I really want to continue to play! So I know what I’m gonna do after work tomorrow, I’m gonna run home and play more! It feels to damn great to have gotten my motivation back to play games, I had a bit of a downtime where I played nothing. Also it feels really great going back to a game I’ve had since it’s release and finally finishing it! One of my few backlogged games actually.
