Dark of the moon, baby!!

I’m a bit sad that I wasn’t able to go see Transformers 3 Dark of the moon, on its premier. I’ve done that with the last two and I enjoy watching movies when they premier. No real reason for it, it just feels nice. So I was a bit pissed when the Swedish premier was a Wednesday, stupid workday. But whatever, now it is finally time and I am so very excited a shame they are only showing the 3D version here, especially when they say they would show the none 3D version. Hope its good so my eyes won’t hurt for most of the movie, like they did with Thor.
So I’ll get back to ya all with my thoughts of the movie later. Hope we get some more Soundwave action this time around.

Been taking a break from gaming and it has felt pretty good. I am going to start playing Red Dead Redemption soon at least. I’m just taking a break to rediscover an old hobby of mine. Making videos/amv’s.
I think I haven’t done anything since 2009, so I am a bit rusty. But I looking forward to see what will be made. I am at least trying to remake some of my older amv’s, with a bit higher video quality and widescreen support. So it’s gonna be awesome.

Thor was seen in 3D…

So I saw Thor last night. In 3D I might add, the movie in itself was really great. I liked it a lot, and can’t wait to the the Captain America movie. The only downside In my opinion was the 3D. Sure it was cool in some scenes, but for most times it was just irritating and pretty hard to follow sometimes. It might have been our cinema that had some half crappy 3D stuff, but I’m not impressed. And it really hurt my eyes afterwards. So I won’t be watching anymore 3D movies in that cinema at least, I don’t want to have eye pain. I honestly didn’t feel well after that experience with 3D, I was feeling strange all night. The movie is based on the comic from Marvel about the god of thunder, Thor. I was not to familiar with the character, I’ve had some previous encounters with the character via Avengers: Eart’s Mightiest Heroes.

I’m not going to go into detail about the movie or characters. Thor is arrogant and ignores his fathers, Odin’s wishes. He thinks he knows best and gets into a whole lot of trouble, for that Odin exiles him from Asgard. He lands in our world “Middle Earth”. He has been striped of his powers and like us he is a mere mortal, this banishment torments Odin. Since he has hopped to make Thor the new king of Asgard. He is fatigued and collapse, he enters the Odin sleep, in which he rejuvenates his powers. This makes his brother Loki, the new king of Asgard.
And If you are familiar with some of the Nordic stories of the gods, you can probably guess where this is headed. As I said before the movie was great and they make a couple of hints at other Marvel characters, like Hulk and Iron Man. And I love stuff like that. The action was kick ass and the slower story parts very good. I think they build up Thor’s movie universe pretty good, I can’t wait to see all of the Avengers assembled in the Avengers movies.

Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Natalie Portman as Jane Foster

I’m gonna go see Thor

Later today me and my buddies, Elden and ZX-Omega are going to watch Thor. It will be the first 3D movie i’ll be seeing. So that’s going to be a new experience, I just hope it is a good experience so I don’t feel sick because of it.
Come back later and i’ll probably will have written some of my thoughts on the movie.

As you might see, i’ve changed the sites design a bit again. I’m more satisfied with it this way. Still not finished with everything, I want a background picture and doing some color changes. The background will take time, since I am not very good at making those.

Pre Sci-Fi convention and movies

Been spending this weekend with my friend Elden. We’ve been playing for next week, it’s the Sci-Fi Convention in Malmö! We are going there together with our friend ZX-Omega on Saturday April 2nd. Its going to be fun, I’ve wanted to go the past two years but haven’t been able. So its finally my time to go where all nerds must go. We’ll be taking photos and even record some videos, I’ll at least upload the photos here, I’ll see what we’ll do with the videos.
While Elden was here, we decided to watch some movies.

Age of The Dragons
A more fantasy take on the Moby Dick story. Instead of a whale and out on the sea, it takes place on land and has dragons in it. Yeah, that’s about it. Now I’m not too familiar with the MD story, but a guy looses his sister to the “great white dragon” and becomes obsessed with slaying it. Danny Glover plays this crazy ass captain, I really enjoyed his voice in this movie. It was cool and I’d love to hear him do some voice over work. The movie was pretty okay, nothing more or less. While I did like it somewhat, it’s hard to say if I would recommend it.

Bitch Slap
This movie on the other hand came as a surprise. I enjoyed this one very much, I also thought it was funny and laughed for a good bit of the movie. It was so cheesy, so dumb and mostly playing on the hotness of the three female leads.
But it tried to take it self a bit to serious and I think they themselves made fun of that. There are girl on girl fights, other girl on girl stuff… Explosions, weapons, kickass ladies. This is just the kind of movie I love. And I got a neat gif animation out of it! I don’t know what more to say, but if you like  “stupid” movies in the style of Shoot ‘Em Up (which I love), I think you can like this. Just to be clear, I said its in the style of SEU, not that it was like it!

Clash of The Titans
I’ve seen this once before and I like it, I think its a great movie. But it seems to be hated by a whole lot of people if I’ve understand things correctly. Don’t know why, I think its a nice action fantasy flick. But then again, I like mythology and take it in almost all the ways I can get it. But I do enjoy this one and I’m looking forward to the sequel. I have a faint memory of there being one in production?

Remember, Remember…

I wanna rewatch V For Vendetta so bad right now! Too bad I don’t have it on DVD or blu-ray! I really must get around to buy this movie! Hugo Weaving is so badass in his role as V.

Remember, Remember the 5th of November. The Gun powder, Treason and Plot.
I know of no reason why the gun powder treason should ever be forgot.

A great weekend came to an end

The weekend that just passed was one of the best, I’ve experienced in a very long time.
To put it simple it was just awesome, I got a change to spend if with some of my closest friends. Meet friends I haven’t seen in ages, we where nine people in my apartment. This was a sort of moving in party and a way to celebrate my birthday a bit sad, I got no gifts from anyone. Not that it’s important, but I was hoping to get something from someone…

While we didn’t end up in a cinema to watch Scott Pilgrim, we still got to see it.
And it was great! I would have gladly payed for this movie! But fuck you SF for not brining it to cinemas here in Kristianstad. Fuck you! I’ll buy it on blu-ray when it comes out, definitely.
I really liked it and at least I can support it, with buying a copy.
We also watched some “scary” movies, you know Halloween was coming up. So the movie maniac my friend Elden is, took some movies from his collection and shared with us.
We saw The Mist (2007), Friday The 13th (remake), Trick R Treat, I think there where one or two more movies we watched. But I really can’t remember right now. Either way, we enjoyed them all. In our own way.

I also discovered a new cartoon that I liked very much, its called Generator Rex. If you are somewhat into cartoons, check it out. You might like it. I can also recommend Avengers – Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. And this month Young Justice and Transformers Prime will premier. This is going to be so damn awesome!

Happy 27th birtday!

Yes, today is the day! The day when I turn 27, it feels just the same as It did yesterday!
Sadly. Except for this year I live at my own place and things have started moving forward for me. Its a bit weird, to I like it. Looking forward to Friday when I, Elden & ZX-Omega will go and watch Scott Pilgrim VS The World at the cinema.
And on Saturday, another friend Claim Solais and his girlfriend will join us for some Halloween movies and just have a good time. Really looking forward to this, its gonna be fun. Well, I hope it’ll be fun at least. Enjoying some snacks with good friends, while watching movies and having a mini-celebration for my birthday? Sounds awesome too me.

EDIT: Fucking crap! I just saw that the cinema where I live won’t be getting Scott Pilgrim VS The World. Great, fucking great. Now that plan is ruined. I hate it when they can’t show all movies everywhere, no wonder why some people download movies. Fuck.

I’ll leave you know with this video of Brentalfloss giving Castlevania II’s song Bloody Tears some lyrics. Not for everyone, but at least I enjoy his humor.
