16. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End (PS4)

17. The Walking Dead: Michonne (PS4)

18. TMNT: The Hyperstone Heist (MegaDrive)

19. Murdered: Soul Suspect (PS4)

20. Mighty no.9 (PS4)

21. Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness (PS4)

Lunar SSH, not what I hoped…

I’ve been playing RPGs now since 1999 and it all started with Lunar Silver Star Story for Playstation 1. I have said this a thousand times, that it was my very first jrpg. And love at first sight, everything was so new to me and it felt great. I had a very hard time at that point in my life, I didn’t know if I wanted to continue living… It was bad, but Lunar SSSC changed that for a bit. I found the adventures that jrpg had to be most filling, at least filling a part if me that continued to cary on. So the Lunar series helped me with some of my problems, so it is indeed a very important game for me.

That is why I am mostly dissapointed with the PSP remake, that came out a couple of years ago. I think ut was also released on IOS fairly recently. I was sad from the start that Gaijin Works (used to be Working Designs) had nothing to do with this new English translation. It really missed all the good stuff, the new voiceactors are trrible in their roles. And I do like the voiceactors, very much so. But not for the characters or Lunar, I feel like they are missing their soul, or something like that.
The PSP version is too easy, I’ve never had any trouble getting through the game. And I did it fast to, it tiok me 22hours… Now this could just have been because the PS1 game was my first jrpg, but it took me 61hours to complete. And I was about 20-30levels higher than I was when facing the last boss in the Ps1 version and I still had problems with him. While I was around level 44 now and beat him with ease.
This can be me having gained more experience in the genre, but I was so dissapointed with the clear time and how easy the boss fell. Now I only feel sad, I do not like this remake. And now I am afraid to play the PS1 version again, I rather have my memory of it being the game I love, than it ending up dissapointing me.

Maybe I have outgrown the series, maybe its just a really crappy remake. Maybe the PS1 version is equally as bad? I honestly don’t want to think so and I don’t want to find out. I’ll keep the warm memory of the game untarnished and continue to love it like I used to. I’m not picking up the PSP version again at least.
Ahh… I really needed to clear my head from all these thoughts.

OMFG!! YES! YES!!

XSEED Games has just announced that they are releasing the PSP remake of Lunar Silver Star Story in the US! This is the most awesome news I’ve heard in awhile! Honestly I’m super hyped. Lunar Silver Star Story Complete for Playstation 1 was the game that made me love RPGs. So of course it holds a special place in my heart.
I love that game, I truly do. And I’m getting this remake ASAP. I must have it.

Crisis to the Core!

So I’ve been playing Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII, for the last days. Wow, what a game. First I want to say I’m not a FFVII fanboy like everyone else, but this game was good. And I’ve never been a fan of Cloud, but this game helped me to like him.
At least I understand his personality a bit more so I don’t have very much against him anymore. Glad you finally could learn more about Zack. I’ve always liked him.
Man he really has a hard life. I can willing admit when the game was over, I was almost crying. it really got to me. Well because I can feel like this is why I love it. Games that can make me cry (in a good way) are good games.
Since they can really bring forth my emotions, still waiting for a movie to do the same. =P
I was going to write a mini-review, but I lost my interesting in writing anything at the moment.

Welcome to my new site!

Welcome fellow friends and visitors to my newly redecorated site! It still might not be anything speciall to you, but at last I’ve made this site more personal. And that’s always been my goal. I started playing a bit with CSS and I hope to continue to play with it and learn more as time goes by. Untill that time comes, this is my new design.
And I like it! Hope some of you will like it to. I spent to much time making this, so I didn’t get to play Final Fantasy XII today. T-T

And now for a few updates! Oh, where to begin….

First of all. January has been a relatively good month for me. Except for one tragedy, that ha do happen to a friend of mine.
A very good friend of mine “KNtheking” gave me one of this PSP. Yes, he game me! As in free! But the display was a bit broken, but I don’t care. Its one of the nicest things anyone has done for me in a long time. Hopefully I can find a good place that sells replacement screens for PSP.
And then we have round two! I played the lottery for the first time the 28th of January. guess, what…? I won!
1900SEK. I payed for the lottery with my fathers money so he took 700kr. Fair enough. But the money disappeared fast since I had very pressing bills to pay… So the money came at the right time.

And I (okay, my mother) managed to get a PS2 phat that my brother is going to use later, but I’m using it right now to play Final Fantasy XII.
And I got to DS phats from my friends brothers. One had a cracked upper display, and the other a flipped out touchscreen. I did manage to make one of them fully functional. So I’ll be getting a new touchscreen & a upper screen for the other DS later and give it to my mother, as a late/early birthday gift. Which everway people want to see it. And I’m awaiting Enchanted Arms for the PS3 do drop into my postbox later today (Friday). No still no PS3, but at least now I have one game for it and something to play when I can afford a PS3.

And I’m going to play the lottery again on Saturday/Sunday. So wish me luck! Hopefully I can win some more cash and the dream of a PS3 can turn into reality. *hopes*

Edited later on Friday: Damn! No mail for me today. Fuck. =/
Oh, well. Hopefully it will come on Monday, together with the DS pens & a tri-screwdriver I ordered so I can get inside the DSes. Now off to play more FFXII.

Brave Story played and finished

Thanks to my good friend KNtheking I was able to borrow Brave story. Sending it back to him later today. The game was very fun and pretty standar RPGish. Well you’ve seen most of the stuff in the game before, I can’t think of something right now that makes this game more uniqe. Well perhaps that would be that its a pretty good RPG for the PSP. Does that count?

The story was average, nothing speciall. But I still can’t helped to get sucked into the story. Guess I’m a sucker for that kind of story. No I won’t go into detail about the story.

A young boy who wants to save his “girlfriend” from an illness that would kill her, comes to a world named Vision. There he must meet the goddess of fate and have his wished fullfilled. That is the only thing that can save her. Of course one thing leads to another. And soon you’ll be on a bigger adventure than you first thought. Well at least the main plot of the game if not to save the world. The world is not even in danger. Well not much at least. So that is pretty fresh. The music is pretty okay in the game. Nothing I’ll go out and buy a soundtrack for.
Well either way it is a good game. A bit to easy. But then again I’ve played my fair share of RPGs so I don’t think they are very hard any more.

I guess the score for this game would be 6/10. Mostly because it was easy. But don’t think of this as a bad score. The game is very well worth buying. So If you own a PSP and want an RPG get this.

And to top things of with Brave Story I watched the Brave Story anime. Its main character in the movie is Wataru. He makes a breif cameo in the game BTW. And is mentioned a few times. The movie was good. For being an anime movie. I almost never like anime movies. Don’t know why. But this one was well worth watching.
But now I’m going back to play Metal Gear Ac!d.
Have to finish that game to. Take care everyone!

Main character “Tetsuya” (or what you name him) holding up the
Demon Bane. Big nice sword ain’t it?

And now Daxter is finished!

So I’ve been playing Daxter like a madman. Its a great game.
Much better than I had expected. Not as good as the real Jak & Daxter games, but still very good. And you just gotta love Daxter. He is one cool dude.

The game suffers from some camera problem. Thats just about the thing that is negative about the game.
Thanks to the camera you are going to die some times at certain stages. If they had fixed that, the game would have been more or less perfect. Oh, okay. There are some slowdowns in the game. They are nothing to worry about, but they are very annoying.

The story is good. And lets you know what Daxter was up to between those two years that passed between the first and second game.
I like when they do games like this. Hope we can see a Daxter 2 in the future.
I’ll give Daxter a 7/10. It would have received an 8 from me if it wasn’t for the camera problem. But if you already haven’t played this game, I think you should.
Especially if you are a Jak & Daxter fan.
And now I think I’m going to start playing Metal Gear Ac!d. Take care everyone!
