Cybertron is falling! Get to da Arkh!!

I’m a bit Late To The Party, but I’ve just recently started to play Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. So we’ll see if the game is any good and if it lives up to my expectations, as always there will be spoilers. So if you don’t want to know anything about the game, then you can stop reading now.

There are a lot of stuff in this game that hints to the old cartoon series and the movie, I love all of the stuff. Like Grimlock and Slug’s lite quarrel over Beryllium balogna and Cesium salami. Laughed good at that and it’s those little things that flirt with the older G1 fans that I love so damn much. And there is a ton of stuff like that in the game, hope you can find them.

The gameplay feels much better and I enjoyed playing this game much more than I enjoyed the first game. Two of my favorite parts of the game is the first time you play as Megatron. You almost feel like you could take on a whole world and conquer it. And the other thing is when you finally get control of Grimlock. Oh, the beautiful, beautiful destruction. Too bad you don’t get to play as the other Dinobots. And Greg Berger reprising his role as Grimlock is awesome as hell, he really does the character justice. A shame Corey Burton didn’t reprise his role as Shockwave, he is still the best voice actor for him. Even if I really enjoyed Steven Blum in the roll, but it’s the Christoffer Lee like voice from Mr.Burton that really adds to the character.

So if you get a chance to give this game a twirl, “Me Yazuka say, you should try and play!” I don’t want to spoil anymore of the game, so if you like Transformers I really recommend you try this game. And hopefully you’ll like it too.

Deadpool now in videogame form!

Well imagine my surprise to hear that High Moon Studios, the makers of Transformers: War for Cybertron and upcoming Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is making a new game. There had been rumors that they had Marvel game in the works, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was a Deadpool game! Hell yeah! I really like Deadpool and why I haven’t read as many comics with him as I would have loved, he is still one of my favorite Marvel characters. Glad to see him getting some love, I’m really hoping High Moon Studios can do Deadpool justice with crazy shit here and there! Enough talk! Check the trailer!

Games, games, games!

I’ve started playing Shadow of the Damned. After Lollipop Chainsaw I really felt like I had to give this game a try and so far I am really liking it! Garcia Hotspur is one cool character with one foul mouth, and I like it! But from the start I never thought I’d like it, but the humor and Garcia’s personality made it all awesome. Steven Blum who voices Garcia does a wonderful job and it’s one of my favorite voice works by him.
So from now on I’m gonna keep an eye out for Shuda 51‘s games, well at least all the new ones.

Hehe, I’ve really been on a roll with games under my vacation. Yesterday I finished
Final Fantasy XIII-2 also, I think I like this one better than the first. It feels like you have more freedom, but then again it’s the same boring world. But yeah, I probably like it more than the first game. Well i started playing this late at night and was gonna play for an hour or so… I didn’t even notice it had become morning, haha was so into the game at that point. And not to mention the last part of the game was long as hell.

Just a little more than a month away from two highly anticipated games, Darksiders II and Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. Hard to imagine it’s almost time, I’m starting to feel that excited giggly feeling you feel when longing for something. And of course I’m really eager to try Epic Mickey 2. Since it is supposed to have musical segments like the old Disney movies, I love that!

Ahh, less than a week left on my vacation. So hope I can use that time wisely, perhaps go to Malmö one more time. But we’ll see, even if I have been taking it pretty easy the whole vacation I still feel like doing just about nothing right now. You know, just take it easy until next week.
When work starts again, I won’t lie I’ve missed it. It is going to feel good to comeback and do something again, since I tend to get a bit lazy when I’m home for such a long time. Hehe. Oh, well I bet I’m not the only ones. But it’s going to feel better when you come home after a hard day at work and sit down to do some gaming, it like a reward and I like that feeling. Even if your life/hobby shouldn’t be a reward.

New month already?

Damn, time sure does fly. I had barely noticed that we had passed over to July. Haha, yeah that’s some that usually happens when I’m free from work. I tend to forget both time and days, but then again its pretty nice not having to think about all that.
I would really love to try and get a new video or something done, I feel like I want to be creative. Hm… Hopefully I can think of something.

I’ve also beaten Lollipop Chainsaw, it was a fun game. A shame it wasn’t longer, or at least had fleshed (mm, flesh…) out the story a bit more. The bosses where cool and I really liked the whole music theme, a shame there was so little of them in the game. It really had my kind of humor, hope it does well so we can have a sequel or something.
And just a while ago I beat Gravity Rush, pretty good game that too. But I found the control to be to wobbly? It was very confusing for me at times, where I was and what the hell I was doing, when I used Kat’s gravity powers. But other than that it was fun, fun but short.

Next month, or rather the end of the next month is something I really look forward to. Two of the most anticipated games for me this year is released then. They are Darksiders II and Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. Really looking forward to both those titles.
So take care until next time!

Some PS3 games I want #2

I thought it was time for another post about which games I’m currently looking forward too. There is a few this year and who knows? The list might grow even more after E3, we’ll just have to wait and see about that.

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron
Being the sequel to one of my favorite games of 2010 and a sequel to the best Transformers game out there, getting Fall of Cybertron is a no brainer for me. With added melee attacks and added Grimlock. This game is looking pretty goddamn sweet. And the addition of the other Dinobots and Combiners in the form of Bruticus, this game is likely to be much better than War for Cybertron.

Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny
This game has been out for a while in the US, but for us in Europe we will soon get it. And I’ve been interested in the game, I like it’s style. So I am gonna give this game a chance.

Darksiders II
2010 was a great year for games IMO and Darksiders was one of the best of the year. It was mix of God of War and Zelda and I loved it and Darksiders II is going to be bigger and have more stuff. And you’ll be playing as Death this time, for those of you who don’t know Darksiders are about the Four horsemen of Apocalypse. And the first game stared War. I hope DSII will continue in that Zelda style, in August we’ll know if it was worth the wait for the game.

Epic Mickey The Power of Two
I never got a chance to play the first game, but I was always interested in it. But it seems like a lot of people hated the game sadly, but know the sequel will be released just about all platforms. They are adding voice overs to the game, the game will include musical segments just like old Disney cartoons. So I am interested, this will be the game I’ll take a chance on this year, hope it’s not money thrown out the window.

The Last of Us
From the team that gave us Uncharted 2! It looks like it will be an great “zombie” game. The environments in the game looks somewhat beautiful and creepy. I have faith in what that team does and I am hoping they’ll be able to give me a scare or two…

Runners up!
Lollipop Chainsaw
This game just looks insane and sounds insane too, if you should judge the trailers. I am fascinated, it has a bit of my humor in the game. And it looks like it could be fun, we’ll see when it’s cheap.

Farewell 2011

And we’ve arrived at the last day of 2011, this year has just flown by. Perhaps a bit too fast at times, as always.  But that’s life I guess, of course time will go faster when you actually have something to do for once. And I’ve been working this whole year, and its felt great.
Except those times when I was sick, which sadly was a few times over the year. I hate my weak body for being so frail and easily get sick.

Its been a fairly good year otherwise. A bit disappointed with both Transformers Dark of The Moon and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. Sadly they didn’t live up to my expectations. While Uncharted 3 still is a good game, Uncharted 2 is a much better game IMO. I think my game of the year will be Batman: Arkham City. I can’t really seem to think of a game that I’ve enjoyed more this year, or rather lived up to all my expectations.

Looking forward to 2012, for both movies and games. Amazing Spider-Man, Avengers and a bunch of other movies I can’t remember right now. But I really want to see them!
Oh, yeah G.I Joe Retaliation is one movie I want to see too. And when it comes to games I guess Tales of Graces F is my most anticipated game, so far of 2012. Then we have Darksiders II, Soul Calibur V, Ni no Kuni… Yeah, I’m hoping they will all be good and that we’ll be getting a lot of other good games next year. So tell me, what has been your disappointment / best experience of 2012. I want to know, so please tell me.

Have a really good new year everyone!

See Fall of Cybetron in this trailer

We finally have a real trailer, well at least more real than the little teaser we got last time! I’m eagerly awaiting the release of Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. It looks awesome! We get to see a combiner, namely Bruticus (fuck yeah!) and Grimlock who is huge as hell! (Fuck yeah X2!)

I hope this game is bigger, have more areas and are more freely. I’ so much looking forward to kick ass with Grimlock, maybe eat a Deception or too. Yummy. I’m not a fan of the song in the trailer, but people seem to love it. so I’ll leave it at that…
