05. Tales of Phantasia: Yume wa Owaranai av YOMI

04. Tales of the World: Reve Unitia: Shining Darkness av Nakagawa Nami

03. Tales of Symphonia: Starry Heavens av Misono

Original introt gjordes av gruppen Day After Tomorrow, men gruppen bröt upp och sångerskan Misono fortsatte solo.

02. Tales of the Abyss: Karma av Bump of Chicken

Gitarrer, tempo och rock! Oh, yeah!

01. Tales of Xillia: Progress av Ayumi Hamasaki

Beaten games 2015: Part 1

So I thought I was going to make a little list of the games I’ve beaten so far this year and write a little something about them. I will list ten games on this list at a time, that way the list won’t be to long and I can perhaps write a little more about certain games, not sure I will though since this, will just reflect some simple thoughts about the games. If anyone wants to know more of what I think of a game, I can write in the comments. The dates by the name is the date I beat the game.

01: Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition [ 2015-01-01 ]
I was never a fan of the original Tomb Rider series, but this rebooted series really clicked with me. So much that I had finished the last gen version of this game and I had to play the current gen version too. I don’t replay games that often, but this was so good. A great way to start the year.

02: Tales of Symphonia Dawn of The New World HD [ 2015-01-10 ]
In my opinion it is a much weaker game than its predecessor, but I don’t think it’s flat out bad as so many others do. I had fun with the game, Martha is great!

03: The Wolf Among Us [ 2015-01-15 ]
Bigsby is one cool wolf. I really liked the story in this game, it might not have been anything special but it was fun seeing fairytale creatures hide in our world like regular humans.

04: Super Princess Peach [ 2015-02-01 ]
Move over Mario! It’s time for Peach to kick some butt! And she sure kicked it hard. A pretty typical Mario platformer game, really nice to see Peach being the star and not being kidnapped for once.

05: Transistor [ 2015-02-22 ]
I’ve heard people say so many great thing about this game, so of course I had to try it. But I honestly don’t see why people like this game. I didn’t really enjoy it while I was playing and wanted it mostly to end, sorry folks. This was the first disappointment of the year for me..

06: Wolfenstein: The New Order [ 2015-03-08 ]
Those who might have read what I’ve written before, know I’m not a fan of FPS but I got this one recommend from a friend who also didn’t like FPS. I must say I was really surprised! I had a blast with this game, it was fun and it was pretty nice to play something else than only JRPGs. A breath of fresh air for me.

07: Wild Arms 5 [ 2015-03-22 ]
And speaking about playing only JRPG’s… I wanted to finish this game for sometime and when I did I felt a bit empty, the game starts out great but I think it slowly goes downhill from there. Don’t get me wrong it is a good game, it just didn’t reach all the way to the end for me. Still hope we’ll see a Wild Arms 6 one day.

08: Saints Row: Gat out of Hell [ 2015-03-23 ]
Chaos, mayhem and destruction. A few words to describe the Saints Row series as of late, Gat out of Hell was short, very, very short. But it game some enjoyment, like punching Satan right in the face.

09: Metroid: Zero Mission [ 2015-04-03 ]
This was actually my very first Metroid game and I really liked it. It was enjoyable from start to finish, well the Zero Mission part was a bit frustrating, but enjoyable. We’ll see if I’ll ever finish Metroid Fusion.

10: The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD [ 2015-04-04 ]
Me and my pal played thought the entire game together, it was really fun I must say. This was also my very first time clearing the game, I sadly lost all interest in the original when it came to gather the Triforce pieces. I am a bit ashamed of that, but at least I finished it, this time around

Time for ToS: Dawn of The New World!

After finishing Tales of Xillia 2 I was thinking of taking a break from JRPG’s, but then I started doing a bunch of extra sidequests and stuff. So I though I should play Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of The New World instead of just grinding levels in a game I’ve already beaten. Sure I have more to do in it to get “everything”, but right now I’d much rather focus on games I haven’t played.

Courage is the magic that turns dreams into reality

I have heard a lot of negative stuff about this game, but it won’t keep me from playing it and to form my own opinion of the game. I have played a few hours of it before on the Wii, but I wasn’t to fond of the controlls. It feelt a bit weird to me and since I am playing the PlayStation 3 version of the game I can play with a controller I like. Not saying it was bad, it just didn’t work for me.

I really like the graphical style, I almost wish the first Symphonia game was remade with these models. I like the more vibrant colors of the game, it is almost like a cartoon. I’m not a fan of monsters taking the place of real characters in the game. You have Emil, Martha, monsters and sometimes you get guest characters that are the old characters from the first game.

I had forgotten what a bunch of assholes the people of Luin are in this game. Emil’s parents was killed by “Lloyd” and he of course hates him for that and because he has an opinion different from all the others in Luin he is treated like shit. It almost makes my blood boil! Mostly because bullying like that sadly excists for real and it pains me. I myself have been treated like I wasn’t worth jack shit, so I really feel for Emil here. Thank god he has Martha at least and she is a breath of fresh air. I really like how open with how she feels about Emil. Not many characters are so open with whom they love in games, so I really like this. Tenebrae is also a great character and will probably get even better/funnier the more I progress through the game. I’m looking forward to see more of the characters.

I’m not sure what the game will give me or what lies ahead for me. Let’s see if I like the game or if I will become of those who dislike it. I don’t think I will though, from what I’ve played I lile it and I take it for what it is.

Working, living, gaming.

It’s been some time since I last made an update. I’ve been busy as usual nothing new there and I’ve been playing games. So I’ve been working, living’ and gaming. Been having it good and actually been feeling pretty good these past two weeks too.
I’ve had more courses at work, where I have thought people what we do. I really liked the group I had this time, they had some many questions, they where “hungry” for knowledge and I had to think and work a bit more this time too. It was highly enjoyable. I’m not saying the first group I had was bad, because they weren’t, they just didn’t have this groups enthusiasm.
Next week I’m only working three days, then I have five whole days off! I’m looking forward to doing nothing at all for five days! Hehe, no but seriously it’s going to be really nice to have a few days off.

So with a few days to myself, I’m hoping to play some more games. I love games, it’s my hobby and an important part of my life. So far I’ve finished inFAMOUS: Second Son entirely. I’ve even taken the platinum trophy in the game, it was pretty fun and Delsin such a crap character as many seems to imply. I had fun and it felt fun playing, but I still think the first and second inFAMOUS games are better and I personally like Cole as a main character a lot more. Plus I love electrical powers. Still if you have a PlayStation 4, I highly recommend you take a closer look at inFAMOUS: Second Son.

I finished Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes also. It was… Short… Very short, but was somewhat enjoyable. I’m not so sure what I think about Keifer Sutherland as Big Boss, it feels weird hearing someone else than David Hayter doing a young Big Boss voice. Sure he isn’t young, young. But still not so old. Don’t get me wrong, he wasn’t bad not by a long shot. It just feels weird that a character suddenly gets a voice change. Looking forward to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, I really want to see where they are taking the series and how the transform the characters.

So know I’m thinking about going back to Tales of Symphonia, but at the same time I want to start playing Final Fantasy X HD. And I don’t want to shift between two JRPGs. Oh, the hard decisions! Hehe. Well, no matter which I pick they are both great games that I like.

It’s Tales of time!

Now I finally have Tales of Symphonia Chronicles in my hands! YES! Been looking forward to replay Tales of Symphonia and finally try Tales of Symphonia Dawn of The New World. Enough chatting here! I gotta finish my food and then get a couple of hours played! OH! YEAH!!

MGS, Zelda and more!

From tomorrow everything will be back to normal, stores will be open as they usually are. The mail will get delivered as it should, I’ve grown sick of these days between Christmas and New Years. Since nothing has worked or been open the way it should. Its been somewhat frustrating actually, actually going to be nice to work again for a full week and then have the weekend of. Instead of work one-two days then your free due to a holiday, but you have to work the day after that then you are free again. It really messes with your head.

Later this week I am hoping The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds will drop in. Can’t wait to finally play it and see how it is and get something to play in my Nintendo 3DS.

But before it arrives I’m thinking of starting to play Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD. It is the only one of the new MGS games I still haven’t played and I feel like I want to play it before Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes arrive in March.

I’d like to finish those games also before I get Tales of Symphonia Chronicles, Castlevania: Lords of Shadows 2 and Infamous: Second Son. I have a shitload of new upcoming games too play, hope I’ll have the time. And then I’ve missed a couple of games from last year fir the 3DS. So hopefully I will be able to play those too, like Fire Emblem Awakening. Really, really want to try that one out.

Three games I really want in 2014!

I think I’ve been pretty clear in expressing my interest in the PlayStation 4, but what games are I looking forward to next year? There are definitely a bunch of games for current gen or should I say last gen now? Either way, if it wasn’t for a bunch of trade-in deals from my local GameStop I wouldn’t have bought a PlayStation 4 yet. Since most of the games I want are still coming out on PlayStation 3, so I still have a lot of stuff too get from that console. But I’m not complaining, but here are some of the games I am looking forward to in 2014. Right now it’s only games that has been announced and have a release date.

Infamous: Second Son
PlayStation 4 – 2014-03-21 EU
I love the two previous Infamous games and I don’t think Second Son will be any different! It looks fantastic! If I didn’t get my PlayStation 4 on launch day, I would have had to get one when this game releases! So looking forward to this one, hope the “hero” Delsin turns out to be an okay character. The world and the effects of the game, looks fantastic!

Tales of Symphonia Chronicles
PlayStation 3 – 2014-02-28 EU
I have really been looking forward to replay Tales of Symphonia, so this collection is perfect. It includes both Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the new world.
ToSS made me fall in love with the Tales of-series, so I am looking forward to see what I think about it four years later. ToS is based on the PlayStation 2 version of the game that was only released in Japan, so we get some new stuff. And hopefully we’ll get to keep the real intro song this time!

Castlevania: Lords of Shadows 2
PlayStation 3 – 2014-02-28 EU
While I am not a big fan of the first game, I liked what they have done with the lore of Castlevania. Lords of Shadows 2 seems to fix the stuff I didn’t like about the first one, like dull combat and a camera straight out of hell. I’m looking forward to play as Dracula and see what he has to endured since the took the mantle of Prince of Darkness.

Well it’s a short list but it will have to do right now. Either way it’s just one more day away from PlayStation 4 launch in Europe!! The hype and everything else is rising, you know what I’m talking about ladies. (I’m kidding!). Hopefully I can get some sleep later tonight, but we’ll see. I’ll probably be to hyped! XD
