So we are getting Star Ocean 5

Not a lot of stuff has happened in the past weeks, not more than I was sick last weekend and couldn’t do anything that weekend. Which really pissed me off! It was such a big waste, just lying in bed and not having the strength of energy to do anything. Felt like I was dying, but thankfully it is better now.

But I got a big surprise what really made me happy. We are getting a new Star Ocean game!
Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithlessness for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. Hopefully it will get a western localization conformation sooner rather than later. Man I’m pumped for this game. They are going to have the dude who wrote the story for Star Ocean 1-3 do this story too, so hopefully that means the game will feel a bit less “anime” in style as Star Ocean 4 did. I’m very hopeful for this title, it became one of my most sought after games now. Man I just love that we are getting new JRPG’s. And Square Enix says they have more to release on PlayStation 4, so I can’t wait to see what they bring. Perhaps Final Fantasy XII HD? Hopefully more new titles too, well I’ll leave you with some images.

Last round! December is here.

So we are finally here, December. The last month of the year, just a few measly days left and we are entering a new year. Yeah, yeah I’m getting ahead of myself. First we’ll celebrate Christmas, not that I care for it. I think I say the same thing every year around this time. Starting to sound like a damn broken record, haha.
But seriously, it is great that there are people who enjoys this kind of stuff, I just wish they didn’t shove Christmas down you throat in the beginning of October. Stop premature Christmas decoration!

Like most of you know I love video games and I have for a long time, but have you ever fallen for someone in a video game? Like when you where younger, you fell for the hero because he/she was cool, great or just plain awesome? I recently thought about this and I remember my very first “videogame crush“. Can you guess who it was? If you thought KOS-MOS from Xenosaga, you are wrong. Good pick though. It is from an JRPG (surprise!) and it is among the first ones I played after Lunar Silver Star Story Complete. It is Rena Lanford from Star Ocean The Second Story. This was around when I was 17 myself, so around 14 years ago… Man now I feel a little old. So does anyone have a videogame crush? Don’t leave me hanging now. ;)

Still going strong with Tales of Hearts R, I played a whole lot this past weekend. To my big enjoyment. Hopefully I’ll be able to play anything this week, at least it won’t be anything on this coming weekend. I’m working and then I’m going to watch some tv-shows with Elden, from beginning to end! Marathon it, like always!

Star Ocean, Tales and Chronicles

For the past week I have been playing Star Ocean: The Last Hope International for the Playstation 3.
It was refreshing for me to play an RPG again, and it felt very good to have finished a game I started some time ago on the Xbox 360. But due to the red ring, never could finish. So having that of my backlog is great! The game is pretty okay, cheesy as hell and it has its clichés. But I enjoyed parts of if, but I’ll probably not replay it again.

And it seems I have a few RPG’s to look forward to. The two biggest ones for me are Xenoblade Chronicles and Tales of Graces F. Good thing I can borrow my friend ZX-Omega‘s Wii so I can play Xenoblade Chronicles in the future. But today Nintendo of Europe announced that both The Last Story and Pandoras Tower will be released i Europe. So that’s two more RPG’s I just need to have! If I can afford it later I guess I’ll try and buy my own Wii.
And I’m really hoping Namco Bandai can give us some English screenshots or a trailer of Tales of Graces F soon! And a release date! I’m so eagerly awaiting this game! But then again I am a big fan of the Tales of games and I really liked the Japanese demo of TOGF.

And I would like to be able to get around playing the RPG’s I’ve missed on Xbox 360. Games like
Blue Dragon, Magna Carta II, Lost Odyssey and of course finish Tales of Vesperia. Ughh… But we’ll see what happens, I’ve been thinking of getting a new Xbox 360 for some time now. With all other games coming out this year that I want I would hardly have the time to play everything, I’m having problems just finding the time right now. So it would be stupid to add to that. But I wanna…

Haven’t played…

Its been about 4 days since I last played Star Ocean The Last Hope. While I like the game, things have just stopped. I’ve been busy with other stuff that has taken all the time from gaming. And then I’ve been with frien and that’s a good reason to not play games. Just need to get back into if and fight.
I’ve stopped at the Phantom Soldiers, if you’ve played the game you know this can be a frustrating fight. I really need to level up if I want to stand a chans against them all. So later today, I’m gonna sit down and go for a real power level trip.
And material collection so I can make some new armors and weapons.

Good thing you can play your own music while playing games on the Xbox 360. I’m notgoing to stand to listen to the fighting song if I’m going to spend a great deal of time leveling up and doing other quests. So guess I’ll watch some anime now and then go to bed, so I can wake up somewhat early and start playing the game.

After 8 years we meet!

Today after about 7-8years I finally got to meet my very good buddy, Kntheking. And I’m really glad we where able to meet, this has been one of the best days I’ve had in all the year. We’ve got to know each other on the former Swedish gaming forum, GON. (Good Times).
And have been friends since then. And in the past there has always been something getting in the way or us meeting. Lack of money, to bad timings and other various stuff. So I’m really glad it went of without a hitch this time.
So thanks again my friend for a real fun day, and hope we don’t have to wait another 7-8 years before we meet again. =)

And BTW, I’ve been playing Star Ocean 4 like mad. I’m really enjoying this game. Much more than I ever enjoyed Star Ocean 3. One of the best RPGs I’ve played this year and in a very long time. Hope Tales of Vesperia will turn out to be just as good for me.

It just had to happen…

So my Playstation 3 broke down last night. It stopped reading discs. -.-
Great, fucking perfect! This shit always has to happen me, I have bad luck when it comes to electronic stuff. Its a curse. Truly it is or fucking bad karma. Well one good thing came out of this, my family took a bit of pity for me, so they gave me an Xbox 360 as a early birthday/x-mas gift. So at least I won’t have to go without games. Just gonna do a few things here at home, then I’ll be sitting down in my sofa and playing Star Ocean.

Resident Evil 5 cleared!

So I finished Resident Evil 5 a few days ago. Good game.
Better than I thought. But I still feel it was a bit dissapointing as a Resident Evil game. Its a really good action game, but if they had called it something else than Resident Evil I would have been more pleased. Why? Well its moslty some story releated things I don’t like how they turned out. I also feel like they “ruined” some characters.
Won’t go much more into that, since they it will be spoiler galore
The game has a really good co-op mode, I really enjoy playing this game with friends it makes it a whole lot better. There is a whole lot to do in the game so at least you can’t complain about you finishing it to fast, and that there is nothing else to do.
If you want everything in the game it will take a couple of hours to accomplish.

In other news, it seems like Tales of Vesperia will se the light of day in Europe in June! Same month as Star Ocean 4. Well that’s about fucking time! Now I just somehow need to get an Xbox 360 and try to get a hold of the game. Much much easier said than done. Its depressing. Really depressing. =(
