Time for ToS: Dawn of The New World!

After finishing Tales of Xillia 2 I was thinking of taking a break from JRPG’s, but then I started doing a bunch of extra sidequests and stuff. So I though I should play Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of The New World instead of just grinding levels in a game I’ve already beaten. Sure I have more to do in it to get “everything”, but right now I’d much rather focus on games I haven’t played.

Courage is the magic that turns dreams into reality

I have heard a lot of negative stuff about this game, but it won’t keep me from playing it and to form my own opinion of the game. I have played a few hours of it before on the Wii, but I wasn’t to fond of the controlls. It feelt a bit weird to me and since I am playing the PlayStation 3 version of the game I can play with a controller I like. Not saying it was bad, it just didn’t work for me.

I really like the graphical style, I almost wish the first Symphonia game was remade with these models. I like the more vibrant colors of the game, it is almost like a cartoon. I’m not a fan of monsters taking the place of real characters in the game. You have Emil, Martha, monsters and sometimes you get guest characters that are the old characters from the first game.

I had forgotten what a bunch of assholes the people of Luin are in this game. Emil’s parents was killed by “Lloyd” and he of course hates him for that and because he has an opinion different from all the others in Luin he is treated like shit. It almost makes my blood boil! Mostly because bullying like that sadly excists for real and it pains me. I myself have been treated like I wasn’t worth jack shit, so I really feel for Emil here. Thank god he has Martha at least and she is a breath of fresh air. I really like how open with how she feels about Emil. Not many characters are so open with whom they love in games, so I really like this. Tenebrae is also a great character and will probably get even better/funnier the more I progress through the game. I’m looking forward to see more of the characters.

I’m not sure what the game will give me or what lies ahead for me. Let’s see if I like the game or if I will become of those who dislike it. I don’t think I will though, from what I’ve played I lile it and I take it for what it is.

Tales of Xillia 2 – The feelings

So I finished Tales of Xillia 2 yesterday and I enjoyed it very much. I think it is a worthy successor to Tales of Xillia and one of the best games I’ve played this year. Not to mention that it has been my most anticipated games of the year for me. I am going to talk a bit about the game, but then I’m going to jump in more on the story and there is going to be spoilers. So if you haven’t finished the game stay away from now on. Just wanted to warn you all so you can hang me for it later. From here on there will be spoilers.

Coming to a PlayStation 4 near you

Earlier this morning for us EU folks, Sony of Japan held a conference to announce some new games. I was actually expecting to be let down, or rather there would be nothing that would really interest me. And I was wrong! Which I am very happy about. Worth nothing is that some of the games mentioned here are also releasing on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita too, but for this post I’ll only be focusing on PS4.

Dragon Quest Heroes
Said to be an action-rpg, but are made by Dynasty Warriors developer Omega Force. Not only that but it does look a bit like a “musou” game as they are called in Japan. Not that it bothers me, I like the trailer and I’m definitely getting it if they release it outside of Japan. Come on Square Enix, you know what to do.

Gaming Sunday

Today has been a really great day, I’ve done absolutely nothing but playing games. It has been a really lazy Sunday and I love it!!
I’ve had a real hard time putting Tales of Xillia 2 down, I’ve done tons of sidequests and i’m almost addicted to them. XD
Playing poker in TOX2 was pretty fun too and I usually suck at those kind of games. Doing character quests are fun and I love learning more about the characters of the game.

I’m trying to max out some of the characters affection for Ludger too. I’m almost done with the first one and I’m about 40hours in. I really hope the others go much faster. I’m thinking of taking the platinum trophy in this since I have it in the first game. I would love to have the trophies in Tales of Symphonia Chronicles HD too, but they take to much time. But who knows? One day perhaps. The only reason I  are about trophies for the Tales of games are I love showing I’ve finished all the challanges of the game.

Games I want in 2014

We have already passed through half of 2014, man those six months really passed by in a flash didn’t they? There has already been some great games released this year, but I have to say that all the big ones that I was looking forward to had been delayed into 2015, both sad and good. It’s easier to focus s on what’s releasing this year. So what games do I want? Well there are still a few games releasing this year that I need to get my hands on. There are a few more, but these are the ones that I want asap!

Tales of Xillia 2
RELEASE: 2014-08-22 for PlayStation 3
As some of you might now I am a very big Tales of fan and of course I need Tales of Xillia 2! I really liked the first one and I am eagerly looking forward to this title as well. It will ease the wait for Tales of Hearts R and Tales of Zestiria. So much Tales of games for us in the west! Thank you Bandai Namco!

Hyrule Warriors
RELEASE: 2014-09-26 for Nintendo Wii U
While I’m not a really big fan of the Dynasty Warriors games, I’ve had some fun with the series. Especially the ones bases on other shows or games. And here we have Hyrule Warriors, you’ve guessed it! It’s based on The Legend of Zelda series and it looks fantastic! I think the game looks great and I love princess Zelda’s new design in this game, whom is also playable and kicking ass!

Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD ReMIX
RELEASE: 2014-12-05 for PlayStation 3
I never played much of Kingdom Hearts 2 and I have never played Birth By Sleep and I want to play them both! Well especially BBS, I’ve heard so many good things from that game. And it would be nice to get away from Sora and his gang for once. Not much more too say, but I want this now!

Bayonetta 2 (plus Bayonetta 1)
RELEASE: 2014-0?-?? for Nintendo Wii U
I’m not a big Bayonetta find mind you, but I had my fun with the first game. And getting both games in one packaged in Europe is great! With glorious 60fps, this game looks fantastic and the fights are so damn nice! LET’S DANCE BOYS!

Pre-E3 preperations!

This year I’m going to watch E3 with my good friend Elden! Yaay!
Really looking forward to sharing this moment with a friend, now drops some big bombs so we can be hyped together! We are preparing snacks, food and other stuff. We will be making our own pizza, we’ll share our creations with you later! I know that my pizza posts has been fairly popular on my site, so it was time to make some more! And hoping people will enjoy it as much as we’ll do making this! =)

Here is the preparations I’ve made so far! I’ve made the pizza dough and tomorrow, we’ll make the pizzas. Really looking forward to see and taste our pizzas. E3 hype engage!

Some of the big stuff in May

May was a pretty boring month all in all. Sure there was the release of Watch_Dogs that was much bigger than I thought it would be. And I don’t think I was alone in being surprised with how well it sold, but congrats to Ubisoft for that. Still need to play some more of that game, good think I have a three day weekend this week!
Yeah, Drakengard 3 also got its release. I imported the US version, since I wanted a physical copy of the game. A shame Square Enix decided to do digital only in Europe. But I’m really looking forward to take on that game too, since I really enjoyed Nier I have some expectations from this game.

I also went to the cinema and watched X-men Days of Future Past. What a great movie! I didn’t expect to like it as much as I did or rather that it would be so liked by so many others! I’m a sucker for comicbook movies, but it doesn’t seem like a lot of people like them. Avengers doesn’t count! ;)
Wish I could have gone and seen Godzilla too, I need to have Godzilla 98 erased from my head, that was such a disappointing cinema visit for my 15year old self. They own me a good Godzilla movie in a cinema!

Above are the games I got in May. The Nintendo games where dirty cheap, since a place where I live was selling out a bunch of stuff since they where downsizing. The PlayStation 4 games I’ve payed next to nothing for, since I’ve used preorder deals and whatnot to get as cheap as possible. You need to be able to catch good deals, when you have a really tight budget. I think everything here cost me about 800SEK, so I’m pretty pleased with that. Sure I’ve payed some money for the games I traded in, but they had a good trade in value, that’s why I didn’t pay much more in the end. So yeah, pretty pleased with that haul.
