Deadpool, Darksiders and a secret

It has been while since my last post, been busy with my work. We’ve had some extra stuff to do because of some of my work buddies still are on vacation. But they should all be back on this upcoming monday, so I am glad everything will return to normal.

I’ve been reading a lot of Deadpool comics, god I love Deadpool. Without a doubt one of my favorite comic characters, was going to write heroes but that wouldn’t be right. Just as it wouldn’t be right to call him a villian. He is just awesome! Very, very awesome. I am so looking forward to the Deadpool videogame. And when we are on the subject of games I am hyped for Tuesday. Since Darksiders II will finally be released, I am gonna hurry home from work so I can play it.

Last but not least I have started a new video project, it will be a fan trailer. That’s all the info I am willing to part with right now. Since I haven’t gotten all the stuff right yet and if everything falls into place I hope I’ll have the video finished in no time, or soonish at least.
Hoping this turns out well, if it does it will be the first of my trailers I will have finished. If I blow it with this trailer I will what I was trying to do.

One crazy dude, in a crazy zone

Hi hello folks! Wow, things have been really boring since last update. most exciting thing so far has been that I’ve started working again, yes my vacation is officially over. Feels both good and a bit sad, good because now I can meet all my wonderful coworkers again and have a super fun time. Sad because, well you have to work! Haha, just kidding. I love my work. =)

I would so very much like to upgrade my 32inch TV to a 42inch right now, starting to get very tired of that little TV. It’s been good and all, but I want something bigger! [That’s what she said!] Hey!?
Sorry about the yellow box, I’ve been reading up on a few Deadpool comic and it seems they are getting to me, but then again Deadpool is frickin’ awesome so no harm there. Right? RIGHT!? I’m doomed…
I’m thinking really hard about getting a cheap ass tablet, so I can read comic on that. That would be the best, or just like a mini laptop or whatever. Not quite a laptop, but still useful and something more suited to what I am after. Perhaps I’ll have to go ebay hunting in the future or just look around and see if I find something cheap. [Like your girlfriend!?] The fuck! You know I ain’t got no girlfriend. Aww, damn… I haz a sad now. ;D

Yeah, I’m nuts right now folks. Don’t worry it’s not contagious. I think? Finally Darksiders II and Transformers Fall of Cybertron. Can’t wait till I get my little mittens on those games. Hopefully I’ll be playing all night long, I miss having an allnighter. Ever if it wasn’t all that long ago since I pulled one. Well enough of my rantings and crazy talk, I’ve probably made a few people raise their eyebrows a bit. Hopefully. :D

Deadpool now in videogame form!

Well imagine my surprise to hear that High Moon Studios, the makers of Transformers: War for Cybertron and upcoming Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is making a new game. There had been rumors that they had Marvel game in the works, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was a Deadpool game! Hell yeah! I really like Deadpool and why I haven’t read as many comics with him as I would have loved, he is still one of my favorite Marvel characters. Glad to see him getting some love, I’m really hoping High Moon Studios can do Deadpool justice with crazy shit here and there! Enough talk! Check the trailer!

Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions

I was interested in Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions for some time. It seemed to actually be a pretty decent game and it actually is. It has its problems but its one of the better Spider-Man game in years.
One thing I really do love about this game is the humor, I think they’ve successfully captured Spider-Man’s humor. And that they have reused some old Spider-Man voice actors to do the voices for the four Spider-Men in the game is a really nice touch.

Shattered Dimensions tells the story of four Spider-Men from different dimensions, I’ll be coming to that very shortly. The game starts with Mysterio breaking into a museum to get a hold of a mystic tablet. Let’s sell it on the black market he says and make a fortune!
But good old Spidey comes in to save the day. But he accidentally shatters the tablet, sending its pieces into three other dimensions. And this whole scene has been narrated by the man himself, Stan Lee. Don’t know who he is? Shame on you, go google him right away.

First out we have the dimension where is all begins. The Amazing dimension, with the classic lovable Spider-Man we all know. Amazing S-M is voiced by Neil Patrick Harris. This dimension is also more cell-shaded than the others, to give of that cartoony feeling. Then we have the Noir dimensions which is a dark and a bit more mature, its also almost always in black and white. To give that feeling of being an old movie. The 2099 dimension is a futuristic hightech take on Spider-Man, something I didn’t look forward to. But ended up liking really well. And last but not least, my favorite dimension Ultimate Spider-Man. The Spider-Man here is a bit younger and its also a bit more serious at times and sometimes funnier. And it has Deadpool in it, instant win.

The controls are okay, but could use some more work. One thing I do hate is that the Spider-Men have all the same attacks and never feel really special to use. They have a special attack that is unique to them, but its more of a variation between the attack the others have. The game is not free-roaming as the last games featuring Spider-Man has been, they gone for a more level design of it all. Some levels are big and give of a bit of a free-roaming feel, I think if the developers but down more time on an squeal they could make a real good Spidey game. The potential is there, but it really doesn’t come to surface because of the four Spider-Men. It would have been better to concentrate on one Spider-Man and making that game awesome.

All in all Shattered Dimensions is a pretty decent game, it has its problems. Problems that I’m hoping will be fixed, its a fun game. And I think I haven’t enjoyed a Spider-Man game like this since Spider-Man 2 on the GameCube. I’m looking forward to a new Spider-Man game and I hope they don’t do a dimension game again, focus on one Spider-Man that is more than enough. Flesh out that Spider-Man‘s story and level. I think everyone will benefit from this, play the game, borrow it or rent it. I think you’ll enjoy it if you like Spider-Man.
