Earlier this morning for us EU folks, Sony of Japan held a conference to announce some new games. I was actually expecting to be let down, or rather there would be nothing that would really interest me. And I was wrong! Which I am very happy about. Worth nothing is that some of the games mentioned here are also releasing on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita too, but for this post I’ll only be focusing on PS4.
Dragon Quest Heroes
Said to be an action-rpg, but are made by Dynasty Warriors developer Omega Force. Not only that but it does look a bit like a “musou” game as they are called in Japan. Not that it bothers me, I like the trailer and I’m definitely getting it if they release it outside of Japan. Come on Square Enix, you know what to do.
Oh, my! This was a bit of a surprise for me, was not expecting a Ys game being announced for PS4. Really looking forward to this. I haven’t played much of the series, but damn I love the series music. So I’ll be here day one when and if it get a release outside of Japan. Don’t let us down now XSEED!
Now this was pleasant surprise. I’m glad Atlus decided to make this game cross-gen at least. I’m hoping this will happen with Tales of Zestiria too. I’m not a big fan of the Persona series to be honest. I haven’t played all that much of Persona 4, but I watched the anime and liked it. So I’m really going to give P5 a chance, hoping it will pay of for me.
It had been said that Nippon Ichi Software (NIS) would announce Disgaea 5 around Tokyo Game Show and it came true. But I’m very disappointed that we didn’t get some kind of trailer for how the game will look. We got a voice over trailer with a picture, yay… But I’m hoping they’ll show a real trailer when the real TGS starts in about two weeks, I think that’s when TGS is. Hopefully they’ll make a bit more of an upgrade to everything this time, I love Disgaea the way it is, but I’d like to see what they can do with the power of PS4. Just an announcement trailer/teaser at the moment so I won’t be posting that.
