We watched Avatar yesterday, ya know the movie about those blue thingamajigs.
I wasn’t to interested in this movie, never was. But now that I have seen it I think it was a pretty okay movie, much better than I thought it would be. But I still can’t see why some people hype this as the best thing that has ever been made.
Really, I can’t see why, but hey… I guess that’s just me. An enjoyable movie nonetheless, but no masterpiece for me at least. Pandora was at least a very beautiful planet and the environments where incredible good.

Tomorrow its back to work, can’t say I’m looking forward to it all that much. I would have needed one more day to rest up. I fell yesterday when we where, going to the cinema. I fell in the stairs and landed on my left shoulder, that I already had a bit of a pain in… So it didn’t make things better, hope it gets better otherwise I’ll have to contact a doctor. And speaking of doctors, on Tuesday I’m finally going to the skin-clinic and hope I get some help with my “psoriasis“.

Oh and Thanks ZX-Omega who got me this figures for a very cheap price! My Xenosaga Collection keeps growing. These are the Xenosaga Motion Revive figures of T-elos and KOS-MOS. Will probably never be removed from their boxes!

Magic Knights Rayearth. It was a show that was very influenced by RPG and fantasy. So I started to watch it and grew to like the series more and more. I also felt a stronger urge to try some RPGs again and I got the chance later when I got a friend to lend me Lunar Silver Star Story Complete for the Playstation 1.

And I’m greeted by the most charming pixels I had seen. Just the beginning of the game it “felt” right. There was something there, something that almost seemed like magic. I was 15 at the time and It truly was love at first sight for me. For me in gaming ways this all was so new, the world was so big. The game was so beautiful, the music it grabbed my heart early and is yet to let go.
Finally I was playing an adventure like the ones I myself dreamed of when I was little, this was the closest thing I could come to be a part of an adventure. This was also the first game to wake some sort of emotion in my. When I saw Luna’s boat scene for the first time and heard the song Winds Nocturne, I cried. It just gave of such a strong emotion and it was then I knew this game would hold a special place in my heart. It helped me get passed my hate barrier and after that I started playing more and more RPGs.
Even tried a few Western RPGs, which I still don’t like very much. I might go into details about it another time, perhaps.

Ever since Lunar I only played RPGs, I tried to play the ones I missed. Then around 2003 I came in contact with the Xenosaga Episode 1. Instead of green forests and a world needed saving I was thrown into something new. I was placed in a more sci-fi environment and with stuff that was pretty high-tech. Loosing our home planet in the year 2000, the game forwards us 4000 years into the future. Humanity had no choice but to flee into space and a new threat to humanity had arisen. And then
The Gnosis, an alien race that nobody knows much about. Oh, I was so sold from that.

But the really big seller in the game for me was after seeing KOS-MOS appearance in the game, I just feel in love with the game. She was cool kick ass and female. All the things I like! No, I’ve never been a fan of Lara Croft either. And I’ve always thought she was only popular since she had a big chest, so for me this was my first real encounter with a strong female character. Well at least the only one I can remember. I was fascinated by the story, which I won’t even go into here. I want people to experience it and I’m not very good to explain what happens in the game. And I have forgotten some things… You should play both this and Lunar if you get a chance.

Ever since I started playing Lunar SSSC, I had not played any other games in other genres. I was so deep into RPGs I didn’t not care for anything else. Nothing gave me the same satisfaction as RPGs did. Well okay, I did play some of the Metal Gear Solid games and a few other games. But besides that it was none stop RPGs.
While RPGs still give me better satisfaction and most out of my money, last year I started to try out some other games from other genres again.

Years later I also replayed Final Fantasy VII, while I thought it was better than before I’ve never been a fan of the game. So me and that game we just don’t mix, while I thought it was better, I’m still do not like that game very much. But in return I like Final Fantasy VIII much more! Something a whole lot of people don’t. While this might not have been the best told story of how I came to love RPGs, I still feel like I get to say some of the things I’ve been thinking of. I should almost be tired of this whole teenagers save the world stuff, but there is always something that keeps me coming back. It can be characters I like or other things in the story I’m a sucker for. For me 2010 looks like a great year for RPGs, with a bunch of games coming out in the upcoming months.

I hope my love for RPGs will last and perhaps can start to like WRPGs one day too. Since with the right game for you, to be your guide I’m sure you can like all sorts of genres. Thank you all for listening to my rants and thoughts about this. I really feel like I got what I wanted to say out and was able to at least make some people understand why I love the genre I do. I still think its ironic that the thing I hated the most, would turn around and become the thing I would eventually love the most in gaming.

So I just went ahead and finished the picture without adding it.
And I’m still very pleased with how the picture turned out. Hopefully I’m better by the next vectors I make, so I can add it to future pictures.

For those of you who don’t know the picture I’ve been vectorizing is of KOS-MOS from Xenosaga.
I’m still missing some details on her headgear, will take care of that next. And I have to give draw her chocker. Since I’m going away later today, going to spend two days at a friends house. There will be no more work on this for now. After the rest is done all that is left to do is color this picture and upload it to DeviantArt, for the whole world to see.
Hopefully people will enjoy this picture also. This will also hopefully be the first of a few KOS-MOS vectors.

When I’m done with all, I’m going to create an image gallery here on the site for the pieces of artwork that I’ve made. Well at least I’m going to have the stuff I’m most pleased with. Enough talk, enjoy the picture. Please comment it if you feel like it.

MY FIGURINES

Here are all the figurines I have collected so far. I’m hoping there will be a few more in the future, but I guess only time will tell wont it? From the first to second picture; KOS-MOS V2, Shion Ep3 swimsuit, KOS-MOS EP3 swimsuit, KOS-MOS Missing Year, KOS-MOS V1, KOS-MOS cat ears from Xenosaga Freaks, MOMO EP3 and finally T-elos. And in the third picture is my entire figure collection and my KOS-MOS V4 from Alter. It was a chrismtas present I got last year from my very dear friend ZX-Omega.

That’s about all I have right now. I want to get a hold of Xenosaga Episode 1 reloaded, Xenosaga The Animation and the soundtracks for Xenosaga 2 & Xenosaga 3. That’s about what I feel is missing, when I have those I can feel that my collection is more or less complete. I’ll leave this entry with posting a picture of my collection with everything in it.

And as a bonus. Even if it pains me to say this. But this picture from
World of Warcraft is actually very nice. Snow covered lands are beautiful.

Other than that I’ve just been watching anime, well not nearly as much as I did before. I’ve realy lost the will to do anything, since my PS3 got destroyed. Slowly building up the money for a new one… Urg… If I’m really lucky (hahaha) I might be able to get a new one in November or December. I’m at least hoping for a new one by the end of the year… A shame that so many other things I wanted to do will suffer from this blow. Why can’t I just win the fucking lottery? Then all my problemes would dissapear in an instant. It would have been so wonderfull.

EDIT: Woho! Apparently the Xenosaga figurines I ordered from Play-Asia last week has arrived today! Can’t wait untill I get home to check which figures I got. I just ordered 3, so I’m hoping KOS-MOS v3 & KOS-MOS v4 is in this pack. I just need them and KOS-MOS ep2 swimsuit and I have all of KOS-MOS versions. =D

EDIT 2: …. I got three MOMO figures. Not one fucking KOS-MOS figure! That has to be some record in something. I’m sad now. =(

I am also currently making a new theme. It will be one from one of my all time favorite animes and all the icons will be chnaged in this one. It has a costume made background to fit in. And will hopefully even have sound effects. So yeah! It will be a totally complete theme! Look forward to it. ^^
