Revenging the past

Hehe, the title might sound worse than it really is. The meaning with revenging is that I finally took care of a game that has been in my backlog since I started to play JRPG’s. A game that has been bugging me for years, a game I played when I was very new to JRPG’s and I couldn’t finish it. That game is Suikoden 1 for the PlayStation. So that felt very great, I did actually manage to get to the last boss when I played the game all those years ago. But I could never beat him, guess that’s what it’s like being new at something. Because he was no match for me, I took him down fairly easy. I’m almost disappointed in how easy it was and I don’t think I was overleveled either. Around level 57 with most of the characters I used.

A few hours into the game And here we are at the end

And speaking of the past, today I have my 8th anniversary on WordPress. I started writing in the beginning of 2006, on Blogger and Livejournal. Sadly I forgot to save those early posts when I moved around to different blogs. So I’ve been writing for about 9years all in all, but what exactly does this have to do with the past? Well you see I started writing blogs as a way for me to went my feelings and stuff, since it was hard talking about various things with friends and others not being so understanding of my problems and condition. And I loved videogames, so I thought “Why the hell not write about what’s bothering me and what I love”?
I don’t write for anyone else but me, if others want to read and comment that is just a big bonus. But I do this so I can feel good. I can release my dark thoughts in text and get them out of my head, I haven’t written about everything. But pretty much and it has really helpt me to let go of some stuff.

So I am going to continue writing as long as I enjoy doing it and as long as it helps me, I do wish I took my times with some of my posts sometimes and made them bigger and better for other to read. But hey, as I said I’m writing for myself first and foremost. But who knows what will happen in the future?
I would like to write more about the anime shows I’m watching and go a bit more in depth in videogames, but then again we’ll see. Would that be something you would be interested in reading?

Games I want in 2015

I made this post before but in Swedish, but I thought I might revisit it and make it in English instead. Why the revision? Well one of my most anticipated games of the year has slipped into a 2016 release, which is a shame. But hopefully it will lead to a much better game. And honestly I’m not surprised it got delayed, still a shame though. This list is nowhere near complete, I have just taken the big games that I’m getting this year. I have probably missed a few titles that I would love to get my hands on. So this post might be updated at a later date, or I might have to update because new announcements or more delays… But we’ll tackle that hurdle when it comes to that. But for now these are the games I’m most looking forward to in 2015.

Tales of Zestiria

I love the Tales of games. It’s just about the only JRPG series that I really love and enjoy to my fullest right now. Of course there are many great games out there, but right now Tales is closest to my heart. So when Bandai Namco localizes Tales of games, I just really need to buy them an support them. And Tales of Zestiria will be no different. Just as long as it isn’t any mobile stuff, in getting it. The game is looking good so far and I’m really looking forward to my hands on this title. I’m just hoping I’m not hyping myself to much on the game, but for now it is my number one sought after game this year. Just announce a date Bandai Namco! I’m there day fricking one!

Dragon Quest Heroes

When I laid my eyes upon Dragon Quest Heroes for the first time I knew I had to have this game. I was thinking of importing it but then Square Enix announced it would be released in the west. I was as happy as a cat playing in a cardboard box. Its supposed to be like a Warrios/Musou game, but with more action RPG elements and that is something I can really dig. I really like the 3D models of Akira Toriyama’s designs, I think they found a 3D style that really works well. It is going to be fun running around together with old DQ heroes in the game, Jessica will be on my team as often as she can be! When a problem comes along, she’ll whip it! Whip it good!

Batman: Arkham Knight

Batman! Always Batman! Always driving villains bats! So what do we do? It’s simple, we kill the Batman. I guess that sums it all up huh? Well I’m very excited for this game, its the last game in Rocksteadys Arkham Trilogy and I’ve enjoyed the past two games very much. Even Arkham Origins which isn’t made by Rocksteady.
So will this truly be the end for the caped crusader? Will he kick the bucket? Will Arkham City take over the pieces that are left of Gotham? On June 23rd we will finally find out, that is if it doesn’t get delayed yet again…

Xenoblade Chronicles X

Those who have followed me for a while or just know me, knows how much I love the Xenosaga games. I still prefer them to Xenoblade, which is also a fricking awesome game! But Xenosaga just spoke more too me, an unpopular opinion which I hope I can have without being slaughtered. That being said, I can’t wait to get my dirty little mittens on Xenoblade Chronicles X! What I’ve seen so far really blows me away, now I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this title won’t be delayed into next year. That would really bum me out. Hopefully it will be fun to create your own character, so naturally I’m going to try to recreate KOS-MOS.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

After MGS4 I hardly wanted anything to do with the MGS series again, it was a disappointment to me. Maybe I expected to much, but solve everything with nanomachines and taking away my sob ending, ruined it for me. With MGS5 we are turning back to Big Boss and I’m hoping we will see him fall to evil in this game. What I’ve seen so far of the game has really got my interest going to the game. September 1st can’t come soon enough.

Yoshi’s Woolly World

It’s Yoshi made of yarn. If it could work for Kirby it can work for Yoshi, to be honest I actually think it will work better for him. Either way, the more platforming games we can get the better. I feel like its a dying or rather sleeping genre and its a damn shame. Nintendo always delivers quality games, so I’m 100% sure this title will be very enjoyable.

Onechanbara: Z2 Chaos

Girls, Swords, Zombies. What more can you want? Good gameplay would be nice… It seems like this has that too, from the few movies I’ve watched from this game, I think I’ll get an enjoyable game. I’ve heard its an okay game and it reminds me a bit of Lollipop Chainsaw. Google it, see for yourselves. But I think this will be a “guilty pleasure” game for me this year. Not that I really have GP games, since I like what I like and I’m not afraid to say so.

I’m writing about games again

Hello everyone! Hope you are having a good time, I’ve had a splendid time! And its probably going to get even better hopefully. After a break from writing about games and not thinking much about them, nut just playing them. I’ve now then offered the chance to write about them again and I was happy too do so. But this time its for another site, this time I’m writing for PlayerSelect.se. As you might have guess, it will all be in Swedish. So if you are from Sweden and interested in videogames, come on over! You’ll find us on our homepage, Facebook and Twitter. All support it greatly appreciated.
You can read my first review on the site right now, its for Tales of Symphonia Chronicles.

I’m getting a PlayStation 4 at launch!

Since my economy right now is pretty much non-existent for various reasons, I thought for sure I could give up on ever getting a PlayStation 4. At least sometime in the foreseeable future, which would suck hard. But what can you do? Not much I’m afraid, but thanks to my local GameStop I’m able to get one. Right now they have this deal where you can trade in two games and get 600SEK in store cash from them, there is of course a list of games that work. And luckily for me I had enough old games to get rid of so I could put that towards the PS4, so I’m not paying a single penny on it! I’ll be able to get it thanks to trade-ins! Feels good!

I know this post sounds like a promotion for GameStop but it’s not, but when they do something this good I think they need some recognition and other people from Sweden would perhaps like to now this too. So they can use the same deal. It’s not often GS have something useful so every once in a while when they do, I want to get the word out. Anyway! Now I just hope they’ll have open at midnight at the release so I can get this bad boy ASAP! I hope they release a release date soon too, more specific than “Coming this holiday”.
Either way, I’m super happy for this. Even if I did “offer” most of my old games… A bit sad about that, but then again I want the PS4 and I hadn’t touched some of the games for over a year.

Oh and just a little extra notice. This is my 600th post! Yay, go me! Feels a bit strange to see I’ve made 599 posts before this one. But then again I love writing, even if it’s about the smallest things. So writing on my blog really helps me get out all the stuff I’m feeling.

E3 2012: Sony

And now Sony‘s show is over too. Just like Microsoft it was a disappointment, ugh. It wasn’t as boring as Microsoft, but nothing new was really shown. Okay they showed Beyond from Quantic Dream and it looks pretty great. But the whole Wonderbook thing for Playstation Move? Not interested at all. No price cuts for the PS Vita that many was expecting, nothing really new announced for Vita either…

So far this E3 has been rather disappointing. A shame really, since I usually enjoy Sony’s shows. The Last of Us looks great too, but honestly I was expecting more. A few secret games or a game announcement that would make you go completely gaga. Yeah, perhaps it’s just me expecting too much… My hope now entirely lies at Nintendo‘s mercy! I’m really hoping they’ll bring a few bombs tomorrow/later today. But since they are on E3 with a whole new console, I think I’m going to get what I want. Something new, something unannounced.
Goodnight!

Min rygg! Aj!

The Last Airbender hela dagen. Tror inte jag orkar så mycket annat. BTW!
