Power Rangers: Beast Morphers in 2019!
Well what do you know? Next years Power Rangers season will be based of my favorite Sentai season! Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters, which had it’s run in Japan in 2012.
I was deaply saddened when Saban skipped this season when adapting the Sentai shows into Power Rangers. But now a few years later, it seems like my wish will come true. Now I can only hope it turns out good. And they can have someone replicate Enter, because he is fantastic. Same goes for the character of Jin and J, some of the best comedic duo I’ve encountered. But I’m not confident they can pull that off.
And for the first time in Power Rangers history they will ditch the spandex and put on some nice leather suits! The quality is like night and day.
Here what it said about the story in a press release.
Set in the future, a secret agency combines a newly discovered substance called “Morph-X” with animal DNA to create the Power Rangers Beast Morphers team. The Rangers must fight off an evil sentient computer virus bent on taking over the source of all Ranger power, the Morphin Grid itself. Featuring never-before-seen leather suits and an all-new beast-themed arsenal (including dynamic new Zords), fans should get ready for a season full of secret ops and morphinominal fun.

So I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this one turns out really good. Mighty be too much to hope for, since they have a whole lot to live up to. But then again I should never compare the Sentai series to the Power Rangers adaption. So I’m casually optimistic.

Guardians of the Galaxy 2
Yesterday me and some friends finally saw Guardians of the Galaxy vol.2. It has been one of my most anticipated titles for the year, with Thor: Ragnarök as a close second. Anyway… The movie was a blast and I loved it! It has been a long time since I enjoyed a movie so whole heartedly, so many laughs and feelings.
The settings, the scrips, the characters, music and just about everything in this movie is so spot on! James Gunn is a genius I really do enjoy the stuff he makes, I’ve been a fan ever since Lollipop Chainsaw. Yeah, the wrote the script for that game and when you see his Guardians movies it really shows.
I loved how colorful the movie was, it was a really beautiful movie. Drax was hilarious in this movie, if I hadn’t liked him in the first movie I definitely would have in this.
But how can you not enjoy his character? He is so hilariously awkward.
Just the intro to the movie grabbed me and didn’t want to let me go and I didn’t want to go! It was so magnificent. This could very well be one of my top favorite Marvel movies to date. Yes, I really liked it that much. Do yourselves a favor and go see it.
I’d like to see it again and I will definitely buy this one.

Lots of Garo stuff in 2014
As some of the people who read here might know, I do enjoy Tokusatsu. Mostly the series that is called Garo, if you have any kind of interest in Japanese live-action stuff, watch it. Season 1 and Season 2 are really good! But I’m afraid I wasn’t all that fond of Garo: The One Who Shines in the Darkness.
It started off slow as hell, got really good in the middle, to just die of completely for me.
Well 2014 seems to be the year for Garo related stuff. Zero who is a Makai Knight in season 1 & 2 will be getting his own series or if its just a special. But it will be around his character at least. That could be really nice, I hope they dwell deeper into that character. I want too know more about him and see what kind of trails he has gone though.
That’s not all, apparently Garo is to become an anime! That was a pretty big surprise for me, but one that could really turn in favor for the show. Really looking forward too see how it will look and get more details on that. It could be really good or it could be crap, but hopefully it will at least be decent. So as I said, I sure hope we get more info on this soon! I want to know who is animating it, what it looks like and how mature the series will be.
But the one thing I am mostly looking forward too is Garo: Makai No Hana. It will be a squeal to the season 1 and season 2 and will star Raiga Saejima, the son of Kouga Saejima. Raiga has taken over the mantel of Garo, just like Kouga did from his father. So that’s going to be nice to see and the best part of it is, that the director from the first Garo season will be doing this series! So I actually have great hope for this one!

Go-Busters is ENTERtainment
As some people here already now I’m a fan of Sentai/Tokusatsu and I’m watching the latest Sentai series, which is called Tokumei Sentai Go-busters. Yes, this will most likely be turned into a Power Rangers season in a year or so. And probably loose it’s great villain Enter, oh he makes the show so enjoyable. He is one of the big reasons I watch the show. The other being it feels so fresh and they are doing a bunch of new flashy stuff, which I enjoy tremendously. But apparently this is one of the worst rated seasons ever, and that makes me very sad indeed.
I really hope it can pick up views in Japan, I would love to get more sentai series with this kind of action. And that are actually trying to do something new.
Don’t get me wrong I love the old stuff, I really do. Otherwise I wouldn’t be watching it, but I like it when people try to add something new to mix. Sentai has been around for 36year now, so of course its nice when new stuff happens. And I seem to be one of those who love the shows who try to be a bit different, I’m hoping I’ll like the next one that comes after Go-Busters. I have a feeling they’ll try to play the safe card with that show, to get better ratings. But as long as it’s good and doesn’t revert back to the old stuff too much, I’ll probably like it.
Among the main cast there are three characters I just love! The two “special rangers” Beet Buster and Stag Buster. They are both funny and badass Especially Stag Buster who’s name is Beet J. Stag, what an ego! He is a buddyroid that was built by Jin Masato, aka Beet Buster.
A buddyroid are robots who support the rangers with various things and are also needed to pilot their MegaZord. J is so far the only buddyroid who can transform into a ranger. Both Jin and J are a great combo, but they are always fussing about something. It’s great watching them and when they get serious they kick some major ass.
And last but definitely not least. ENTER!! One of the villains in the show I do hope he becomes the main villain. He serves under a powerful computer virus called Messiah and Enters job is to get enetron (energy, duh.) so Messiah can grow stronger and one day come into the real world. Enter is crazy, you can hardly ever predict what he is going to do. He is so damn random and he speaks with some added French words, I just can’t dislike him! He has also proven to be quite the adversary, when serious he took on one of the strongest if not the strongest ranger by himself and it felt like he played with him. Tossing him around like a toy, so he is very dangerous when he get serious. Words will do Enter no justice, just watch the show and Hopefully you might like Enter too. Because I love watching the Enter show featuring Go-Busters!

Trailer for GARO Makai Senki
Finally we have a trailer from the newest Garo season. Its looking very nice indeed, I’m very hyped for this! It seems like it will premier in October, so we don’t have to wait very long until we get to see it.

Garo ~ Red Requiem ~
Just finished watching the movie Garo Red Requiem. Yes, as you can guess by the name it has to do with
the same Garo I’ve posted before. (check it out)
I’ve actually been eagerly awaiting this movie for some time. Or rather anything that has to do with Garo , was it worth my time? Let’s find out shall we?
Was it worth the wait?
Hard question. While I have waited for it since it was announced in 2009, I can’t say my life has revolved round it. Hehe. I’d probably wait longer for something Garo related to be honest.
Was if good?
Oh, yes! I liked it very much it felt like it should. Like a longer episode from the show. The story and the main Horror (the monsters in Garo’s universe) Lord Karma, where a bit on the “meh” side. At least most of the movie, Lord Karma and Garo had a pretty sweet fight near the end of the movie. And I guess that’s one of the things I’m a tad disappointed with when it comes to Red Requiem. There where a bit to many dull moments, like most movies. But I wish they would have used it better, sure they give us some back story on the characters. But I would liked to have them go deeper into it, I don’t really know… I tend to have these feeling just about every movie, probably because I want to fully “feel” the world they’ve built. Or something like that.
If you like Garo watch it! The action and fighting are top notch! And just as over the top like it was in the Garo TV-show. I missed some old characters like Zero, well mostly Zero actually. At least they could have implied to something about him, I like stuff like that. So now the waiting begins anew. For the next special Dark Knight Gaiden: Kiba hopefully we’ll get to see everything from the start regarding Kiba. From his early days as a good guy and his trip to the darkness. And let’s not forget the sequel to the first Garo TV-show, Garo Makai Battle Chronicle. No information on that yet, but I’m eagerly awaiting it.
Can’t wait until we get Dark Knight Gaiden! I want to see more of Kiba!

Garo 2 & Kiba The Dark Knight Gaiden
As some people might have guessed or grasped by now, I’m a fan of Tokusatsu shows. You know, Japanese live action shows with Super Heroes. Think Power Rangers and you are close, or you’ll get the gist of it.
And there was this one particular tokusatsu show that caught my attention and it was Garo. Also known as Ogon Kishi Garo or Golden Knight Garo. I’ll post something about the series as soon as I’ve rewatched and refreshed my memory of it. Well the big news is that the show is finally getting a second season! I’ve been waiting since 2006 for this! So I’m really hyped about this. For now its just called Garo 2, but its not the only thing coming. There will be a V-cinema I think they called it? That would be called Kiba The Dark Knight Gaiden.
Can’t wait to get more information or release date of this series, this how is definitely right up my alley. Love it. And here is a trailer for Kiba The Dark Knight, if you don’t like that or enjoy some of it. This series is probably nothing for you.
