101 beaten PlayStation 3 games!

Wow! I have now beaten 101 games for the PlayStation 3, that feels great!
I have of course played more than one hundred games, but I haven’t finished all. But I have gone through 101 games from the start to finish. I started playing on the PlayStation 3 around 2008, so its taken its time.
Especially since I haven’t been able to play as much as I want for the last two years.
But I am still very pleased and a bit proud. To many this is nothing special and I get that, but to me its something else. I can’t really explain it, but its gotta be love or something.

My one hundredth game was Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 and the 101th game is Lightning Returns: Final Fantay XIII. As soon as I have the time I will sit down and go through my list of beaten PS3 games and write something more about my favorites among that list. If you want to check out my beaten games list under the game section.

Got a cold and a few games

Aaatchoooo! Goddamn it. Sneezing, nose is running and both body and head aches. I’ve caught a cold and I hate it. I tried working Tuesday but had to go home after half that day, my cold just got worse and worse. So I slept for the rest of the day and that’s just about what I have the strength to. I’m just going to post this really quick and then I am going back to bed.

I’ve also gotten two new games actually, one that I’ve ordered and one that I won. One is Castlevania: Lords of Shadows 2 and it nice so far. I haven’t been playing much since I’m not feeling well. But yes, I’ve tried it a bit. The other I win from PlayerSelect.se and its Lightning Returns Final Fantasy XIII and it came with a guide. A shame it didn’t have a real box and cover instead, I didn’t care much for guides. But I’m still happy I won, the demo for LRFFXIII was fun and hopefully I can enjoy this.

Later this month three more games will land in my home, they are Infamous Second Son, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and Final Fantasy X & X-2 HD. So I’ll have my hands full in the future and I am thinking about doing some other videogame related stuff, but I’m not sure what yet. I haven’t got many ideas, but I feel like I want to do something. The only thing holding me back is time, I couldn’t do much more with PSSverige because of time. But I loved doing reviews and I hope I get to do that again in the future, that would be great. So keeping my fingers crossed for either a new project or something else. We’ll see, I have to think more about my own stuff.

Games, games, games!

I’ve started playing Shadow of the Damned. After Lollipop Chainsaw I really felt like I had to give this game a try and so far I am really liking it! Garcia Hotspur is one cool character with one foul mouth, and I like it! But from the start I never thought I’d like it, but the humor and Garcia’s personality made it all awesome. Steven Blum who voices Garcia does a wonderful job and it’s one of my favorite voice works by him.
So from now on I’m gonna keep an eye out for Shuda 51‘s games, well at least all the new ones.

Hehe, I’ve really been on a roll with games under my vacation. Yesterday I finished
Final Fantasy XIII-2 also, I think I like this one better than the first. It feels like you have more freedom, but then again it’s the same boring world. But yeah, I probably like it more than the first game. Well i started playing this late at night and was gonna play for an hour or so… I didn’t even notice it had become morning, haha was so into the game at that point. And not to mention the last part of the game was long as hell.

Just a little more than a month away from two highly anticipated games, Darksiders II and Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. Hard to imagine it’s almost time, I’m starting to feel that excited giggly feeling you feel when longing for something. And of course I’m really eager to try Epic Mickey 2. Since it is supposed to have musical segments like the old Disney movies, I love that!

Ahh, less than a week left on my vacation. So hope I can use that time wisely, perhaps go to Malmö one more time. But we’ll see, even if I have been taking it pretty easy the whole vacation I still feel like doing just about nothing right now. You know, just take it easy until next week.
When work starts again, I won’t lie I’ve missed it. It is going to feel good to comeback and do something again, since I tend to get a bit lazy when I’m home for such a long time. Hehe. Oh, well I bet I’m not the only ones. But it’s going to feel better when you come home after a hard day at work and sit down to do some gaming, it like a reward and I like that feeling. Even if your life/hobby shouldn’t be a reward.

Final Fantasy XIII beaten to a flan!

After much, much time I can finally say that I have beaten Final Fantasy XIII!! And it feels really good! One of my few backlogged games beaten. And I’m not really sure what too think of the game now, I haven’t liked it all the way and it’s not in my top 5 Final Fantasy games. But I really liked the ending and everything with it.
All in all I think its an okay game, I had higher hopes for this game. But then again so did a lot of us, so I guess that’s why there are so many people hating FFXIII. Anyways, I finished the game in 52hours. I think about 8hours of them are spent on just powerlevling, since I had some real trouble later in the game. I was so weak and I died often, but by the time I was facing the last boss I was quite powerful. But I love beating a boss that does not stand a chance.

And on Monday my vacation starts, so that’s going to be good! Really need to recharge my batteries, and now that FFXIII is cleared, I can finally start on Lollipop Chainsaw for real. Looking forward to that, hope I’ll enjoy it now.

I’m gonna kick your Fal’cie ass!!

It’s been nearly a year since I last played Final Fantasy XIII, I wasn’t to enthusiastic about it then. I’m still not, but I really want to finish the game, especially since I was at the end of chapter 11. I got stuck on the Dahaka boss, that fucker kept killing me over and over. He really owned my ass, I tried a verity of strategies but he continued to make me his bitch. I lost count how many times I tried and I got fed up. So I put the game on the shelf and today for the first time in nearly a year I started playing it again.

I had another motivation his time it seemed, I spent a bit over 5hous powerleveling. Or rather powerfarming Crystal Points, I also spent a few hours fixing some sidequests.  So yeah, I upgrade my characters a bit. About time I try Dahaka again and hope he won’t rape me again.
The tables had turned my friends! This time he was the asshole begging for mercy! Or he might have done that, If the game allowed it. I took him down without any problems now, my other two characters never needed a revive either. So that felt so damn good! The last boss of chapter 11 fell without any problems either. I’ve actually had a bit of fun with the game today, getting revenge was the best.

I’m taking a break now, feeling great! But now I don’t want to put the game controller away! I really want to continue to play! So I know what I’m gonna do after work tomorrow, I’m gonna run home and play more! It feels to damn great to have gotten my motivation back to play games, I had a bit of a downtime where I played nothing. Also it feels really great going back to a game I’ve had since it’s release and finally finishing it! One of my few backlogged games actually.

Dark, Dirty and Dangerous!

I’ve gotten my hands on Jak and Daxter Trilogy! I have wanted to play these games for such a long time, but never really had a chance. Well, that’s not entirely true, but it would have a bit bothersome. Either way, I have them now and I am looking forward to sink my teeth into the games. Which I’ll do as soon as this post has gone up.
And Tales of Graces f is preordered and I’m just waiting for it to be released and shipped. Good god I’m so eager to play that game! Final Fantasy XIII-2 is okay, not much more. At least that’s what I think now, so I really need a game like TOGF. I’ll see if I have the interest to finish FFXIII-2 one day. Perhaps when there is nothing more of interest for me to play, so I guess its good to have a backup game for such a time.

15hours into FFXIII, my impressions

I’m about 15hours into Final Fantasy XIII and I thought I would, write a bit of my impressions of the game so far. For starters I can say, that I’ve had a blast with the game. This is another one of those titles, I have long awaited. So when you finally have it in your hand, it feels a bit strange. Its a wonderful feeling.

Many have complained about the game being to linear and I understand that people think that, I haven’t been bothered by it at all. I was afraid what I would be, but I’m finding it to hard to let go of the controller at times.
My biggest complaint about the game is the total lack of towns. I do miss walking around in town and talking to NPC’s like in past Final Fantasy games. It would help me make the game feel more alive, I understand why its like this, but I think they could have solved it better. And Square Enix “excuse” that its to hard to make towns in HD, is just bullshit. So many others before then have succeeded.

The fighting-system on the other hand is great! Its very fast paced and if you’re not observant, you can die pretty quickly. Won’t go into that much more, I think its better if you experience it by yourselves.
The story can be a bit of the cheesy side, but then again. I’m easily drawn to this kind of story’s for some reason, since I’m really waiting to see what happens next.
Well all in all I’m very pleased with the game so far and I’m looking forward to play more. Just need a break, I’ve been playing the whole day. Well almost.
