The Bat Rises

[ If you have any intention of watching the Dark Knight Rises, you should keep away from this post. I’ll be talking pretty openly about the movie and spoilers. You have been warned, this will contain spoilers! ]

Farewell 2011

And we’ve arrived at the last day of 2011, this year has just flown by. Perhaps a bit too fast at times, as always.  But that’s life I guess, of course time will go faster when you actually have something to do for once. And I’ve been working this whole year, and its felt great.
Except those times when I was sick, which sadly was a few times over the year. I hate my weak body for being so frail and easily get sick.

Its been a fairly good year otherwise. A bit disappointed with both Transformers Dark of The Moon and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. Sadly they didn’t live up to my expectations. While Uncharted 3 still is a good game, Uncharted 2 is a much better game IMO. I think my game of the year will be Batman: Arkham City. I can’t really seem to think of a game that I’ve enjoyed more this year, or rather lived up to all my expectations.

Looking forward to 2012, for both movies and games. Amazing Spider-Man, Avengers and a bunch of other movies I can’t remember right now. But I really want to see them!
Oh, yeah G.I Joe Retaliation is one movie I want to see too. And when it comes to games I guess Tales of Graces F is my most anticipated game, so far of 2012. Then we have Darksiders II, Soul Calibur V, Ni no Kuni… Yeah, I’m hoping they will all be good and that we’ll be getting a lot of other good games next year. So tell me, what has been your disappointment / best experience of 2012. I want to know, so please tell me.

Have a really good new year everyone!

Uncharted 3 cleared!

Earlier today I finished Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. A good game, but in my opinion not as great as the first or second game. The adventure doesn’t feel as great as the one in the first and second game, it actually feels a little lacking. Don’t get me wrong, I like it very much but it didn’t live up to my expectations. One of the things I’m most frustrated with is that the writers leaves so many questions unanswered.
The villains where lacking, I hardly noticed them in the game. Just their henchmen, not like Lazarevic in Uncharted 2. Which was ruthless and a real asshole, who did anything to get what he wanted. Sure they fit the game, but I wish they had more presence in the game.

Especially since both Drake and Sully had a past with Marlowe. And how could Talbot disappear like he did? Is he a wizard? No, but seriously. I wish there was a bit more too it. Both game wise and story wise. Still a good game, that I recommend everyone to try if you like the other two Uncharted games. For me this game was contender for GOTY (Game Of The Year), but this time I don’t think it will win that for me. The same year Uncharted 2 came out, so did also Batman: Arkham Asylum. Both of them competed for GOTY for me that year, the winner was Uncharted. But this year with Uncharted 3 and Batman: Arkham City. It could very well be Batman what will take my own personal GOTY this time. We’ll see, I am not finished with that game yet, so anything can happen.

Batman?! Batman!! BATMAN!!!!

Finally Batman Arkham City arrived today! So guess what I am going to do now?
That’s right, folks!! I’m off to play the goddamn Batman game! See  ya’ll later!

I’m back again! Or am I?

Hello friends! I’m hoping my internet troubles are fixed now. I haven’t had any troubles since last night and all until right now, at least. So we’ll see, but I’m hoping for the best.
I’m also hoping that I get my copy of Batman: Arkham City tomorrow, I really wanna kick more ass as Batman tomorrow! Keeping everything I can crossed that I’ll get it tomorrow. For now I am playing Back To The Future part 1.

And in exactly one week I’ll turn 28. Damn! So much stuff that has happened this year it almost overwhelming, both good and bad… But hopefully its been more good stuff than bad for once.

Internet meltdown!!

It took me some time to get this text ready, but I’m having massive internet problems. It seems like my modem is dead or on the verge of dying. It works a little while then everything shuts down. Tried disconnecting my router and stuff like that, still no improvement.
Well I managed to be online for a while yesterday on my Playstation 3, but then everything shut down. I might have to wait between 1-2 weeks before getting an replacement, I sure hope it goes faster… Surfing on the mobile, while better than nothing. Ain’t much fun.

But it isn’t all bad actually, I’ve had a good chance to catch up on some anime’s I’ve had on my HDD. And since yesterday I’ve been playing God of War Collection Volume 2. I played through GoW: Chains of Olympus in one sitting yesterday, that was fun. I loved it. And earlier today I did the same thing with GoW: Ghost of Sparta. All in one sitting, god I’ve missed playing games like that. Both games where awesome, but I think I liked GoS more. It had more story on Kratos past and it nice to see some of the events leading up to GoW III. Plus I really liked his spartan weapons, a shield and spear. I thought it was great fun running around killing enemies that way and it made me wanna see 300 again…

Keeping my fingers crossed that I’ll be getting my copy of Batman Arkham City this upcoming Friday. If not, its gonna be a long, long weekend. But I’ll probably survive it. Hopefully.

The king has left the building

Earlier this morning Kristoffer went back home. After staying at my place for almost four days. Four fun days mind you! We watched a shitload of movies, both old and new. Like Insidious and Fast and The Furious 5. While Insidious isn’t that new I hadn’t seen it before, it was nice and a bit spooky. FATF5 was just awesome, fucking awesome even. Loved the action in that movie. Duane “The Rock” Johnson and Vin Diesel where awesome. Paul Walker was of course great too! Good movie is good.

Kristoffer played through Resident Evil 4 from beginning to end. It was nice to relieve that game again, even if I didn’t play it myself. It so much better than RE5.
And as for me now I’m going to spend this whole week devoting myself to Disgaea 4, so I can start playing Zelda Twilight Princess for real. An hopefully around the same time I have my birthday (27th this month!) I can have Batman Arkham City. One of my most anticipated games of the year. Really looking forward to kick ass as Batman again.

And I just added a bit more to my “Xeno” collection today. Joining such games as the Xenosaga Trilogy and Xenogears is Xenoblade Chronicles. The only thing they have in common is the Xeno-name and that they are made by the same people.
