April is here and I’m working

Its been some time since I wrote, nearly a week since last post. I’ve been both sick and busy, so I haven’t had the energy to write anything. I haven’t touched Final Fantasy XIII for some time either. I’ve lost some of my interest in the game. Why? I might go into that more in later posts.

And while I’m on the subject. I’m extremely thankful for my friend Robert SC. Who is going to let me borrow his God of War III. Really looking forward to play that and I do need to play something else that isn’t FFXIII right now. So I’m hoping I’ll be able to play it next week. So looking forward to kick ass with Kratos again!

Well anyway I’ve been working for three days now and it feels pretty okay, even if I hate going up so early. But its not all that bad. At least the people there are friendly and I get to be out much. And travel around to a bunch of different places. But we’ll see how I feel about it when I’ve worked a full week or even two weeks.

Well while I was sick I watch a whole load of anime and finished of a few series, I’m going to write about them later in an upcoming post. I guess this is all for now, I’ll post more when I get the time. And I’m not going to be online as much as before, which is something I think some of you’ve already understood. So less time on MSN, Loading and all other stuff that I’m usually on.

Anime of 2010

I’ve watch a lot animes in my time. So much that I’ve tried to put together a list of everything I’ve seen, I’ve stopped seeing and want I want to see.
You can find this list at MyAnimeList (MAL), you’ll also find a link to the list under
MY LINKS” in the top menu. A whooping amount of over 250 anime-shows and movies have I watched. And there is just more to come. I’ve been watching anime for
over 15 years now, so its natural that I’ve gone through a few shows.

Here are the anime shows of Spring 2010 that interests me. Not sure I’ll be following them all from beginning to end, but I’m going to give them each a fair chance. Some if not all titles here has links leading to Anime News Network, where you can get more info on the series in question. There are more shows I want to see, but these are the ones at the top.

  • Tales of Symphonia – Tethe’alla Chapter
The sequel to the first four episodes of the Tales of Symphonia anime. The first one took place on Sylverant and this will continue the story on Tethe’alla. For those who has played the game, you can pretty much guess what’s going to happen.
  • Gundam Unicorn
I’m not a Gundam fan, but I really like the Gundam Unicorn figure/Gunpla. I did enjoy the 1st  season of Gundam 00. So I’m giving this one a chance.
  • Kaichou wa Maid-sama!
I know literally nothing about this series. Nothing more than its supposed to be a romantic comedy. Which happens to be one of my favorite type of anime series. So this could really turn out to be good or crap.
  • Kiss x Sis
This is the perverse or “ecchi” show of the season. Gotta have one of those too. ;)
  • Negima! Another World 3
I’ve watched everything else that has something to do with Negima! And I’ve enjoyed everything, the two first episodes of this OVA where nice. I have hope this one will be just as good.
  • Ichiban Ushiro no Dai Maou
Besides it being a fantasy comedy, I don’t know much else. But from from pictures and little text iIve read, I’m very interested.
  • B Gata H Kei
Yet another series I know nothing about. But it seems to be a comedy and I like anime comedy’s. So of course I’ll give it a shot!

How my love for JRPGs started

I like a verity of different genres. Actions, stealth, & platform genres was always a big interest for me. But there was always something genres that I hated. I’ve never liked FPS, sport or driving games and one of the genres I hated the most where RPGs.I tried a bunch of different sorts of RPG’s but none of them where good. Then some friends and just about everyone else started going nuts over the newly released
Final Fantasy VII
. So I tried it and of course… I did not enjoy it one bit and with that I decided to give the genre a rest, I was done! I just hated it.Now we are in the middle of 1999 and I hadn’t touched an RPG, but I had grown a bigger interest in anime. And had gotten the chance to see the anime series

Magic Knights Rayearth. It was a show that was very influenced by RPG and fantasy. So I started to watch it and grew to like the series more and more. I also felt a stronger urge to try some RPGs again and I got the chance later when I got a friend to lend me Lunar Silver Star Story Complete for the Playstation 1.

The newest vector! Princess Theodora!

So tonight I finished the picture I was currently working on. This time its a vector from the anime/manga series: Mahou Sensei Negima!?
And the character I vectored is Princess Theodora! I almost fell in love with her. Beautiful blond hair, nice dark skin and green eyes. Yummy!
This took some time but it was worth it.
I didn’t vector all the details, because I couldn’t see all. There are two small hair pieces missing.
But I’ still very pleased with how it turned out. It doesn’t ruin the picture, thankfully.

Sadly not much has happened, its been pretty dead on all forms.
Been working a bit with RPGaiden, but other than that its been dead-boring.
Can’t wait until I get my Playstation 3 back, so I can play Batman Arkham Asylum.
It should be arrive sometime next week I hope. And soon before I know it, all the preordered games will start dropping in. Brütal Legend, Uncharted 2,
Ratchet & Clank: A Crack In Time.

Well since its been pretty dead, I’ve had some chance to catch up watching some old stuff that has been lying around. Like Loonatics Unleashed, which turned out to be pretty okay. Soon finished with season one and I’ll start with season 2.
I also finished watching the anime Happy Seven. It was okay, didn’t expect anything from it. So I can’t really say it was bad. But I’ve seen better. Seems like really good fantasy anime is hard to find. So if you got any tips I’ll gladly take them.

And as you might see (if you are an old visitor) I’ve hanged the design a bit. I feel this better suits my site. It doesn’t need any fancy stuff. Well take care! See ya!

Some updates

I’ve finished watching the entire CLANNAD anime now. And I must say it was really good. But some parts in the show really got me teared up, but it was really good. Almost as touching as Kimi Ga Nozomo Eien.
So now I need to find a new anime series I can watch. Got any ideas?

Been working a bit in photoshop and vectorized my friend Elden’s picture of an adult Presea. Yes, the same Presea from Tales of Symphonia.
You can head over to my deviant to see a WIP. (Work In Progress)
I’m also starting work on a new vector of Jessica from the game
Lunar Silver Star Story. That will probably take some time before its finished, but I’ll post it here when its done.

And I think I’ll start playing Wild Arms 5 tomorrow. Been looking forward to, especially since I thought WA4 was a major let down. And I’ve heard very good things from friends regarding WA5, so I’m hoping its really good. If not WA5 I will probably start playing Ar Tonelico 2 tomorrow instead, a game I’ve also been very interested in.
The first game was good but had some flaws, I’m at least hoping the battles in AT2 won’t be as repetitive as the ones in the first game. Either way I’m looking forward to playing both games and will.

Well I guess this was all for now. Might have some bigger better news in a couple of weeks. But its best not to write it out here yet, before I actually know that its going to happen. Or else it will probably jinxed.
But I really hope I can post about it here, its something I’m really looking forward too.

So under the time I was away from the Internet I decided to watch CLANNAD, since I’ve heard so much about it. And I must say I really took a liking to the series. I watched a bunch of episodes after another, and I couldn’t stop. I really enjoy this kind of series. So if people have any more tips on series that are similar please tell me. I’m soon going to start watching CLANNAD After Story. The second season of the show. I’m hoping it will turn out to be just as good. I might write down what I thought of the entire show once I’ve seen the second season too.

Anime: Tales of The Abyss

This anime is based on Bandai Namco’s game with the same name. Which is one great game, if  I do say so myself.. Without a doubt this is the best anime based on a Tales of game. Both the Tales of Phantasia and Tales of Symphonia animes, where to short. And a lot of material was scraped from them. Both ToP & ToS only had four episodes each to tell there story on. As you can guess, its not enough.
But it is said that ToS will get 4 additional episodes, that will show the Tethe’alla side of the story. And of course. They have an anime based on Tales of Eternia too. It has 12-13 episodes. At least its better than four episodes. But only 2-3 of those episode follow the games, after that it takes a turn for something new.
New story, new enemies and of course new allies. So I was a bit dissapointed.

And then we have Tales of the Abyss. Finally Bandai Namco did a whole lot of stuff right with this anime. One of the smartest thinsg they did with the anime was to keep the game’s intro song Karma, by Bump of Chicken.
The series is 26 episodes long. Which I see as the best part of all. And so far, the anime has followed the game very closely. No new characters, no extra comedy parts added, no trying to make the story better parts either. And I like that they aren’t changeing anything to the story of adding stuff. A bunch of videogames that turns into anime change a few things and I almost always hate that. For some this could be a pretty boring anime, since it follows the game very closely. Its the anime that has stayed most faithful to its videogame conuterpart. That I’ve seen at least.

I’m not going to go much deeper into ToTA anime, if you haven’t played the game but want to. Wait with the anime. If you don’t care about the game, but want to know what its about. Go ahead. And I think everyone who liked the game should watch the anime.
Sure it might not bring anything new to the table, but I’lm just glad I’m able to see Jade in action again. It has also been confirmed that the newest game Tales of Vesperia is getting an anime movie. I really hope I get to play the game before that one is released. I’m also hoping if Tales of The Abyss anime is ever released in the US, that they use the voiceactors from the game. If they do, I will buy this anime.
