It was a while since I did a post like this, there has been many new anime series airing and I’ve gotten a few new favorite intros. I like them for various reasons, it can be the song, the video intro or both together. Just so you know.
Attack on Titan: Junior High
A great parody on on the creators behalf, they sort of reenact the shows first intro. Both in video and in it’s song, but with a bit of a twist if you so will. Still haven’t watched the original series, but this one I highly enjoy.
A cute song I’ve become a bit addictive too. The muscular men scare me though..
Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry
Stylish opening and action packed, I love it!

I’ve really fallen for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. It was an anime I honestly I couldn’t stand, but it turns out I enjoyed it very much. And I can see why so many others have been a fan of Jojo. I started to watch this series in November last year and I’m currently watching the third season that’s called ”Stardust Crusade”.
I enjoy the fighting, both it and it’s characters are so over the top sometimes that I can’t help but love it! It’s hard to explain this show, without going into all the good stuff and its those things you should see for yourself. I’m actually very interested in the PlayStation 3 game that came out sometime ago, mostly because of the show. So I might get that in the future too.
Well the series is about the Joestar family and their cursed struggle with Dio Brando a man who was one taken in an treated like a fellow member in the Joestar family. Jonathan Joestar and Dio where friends at first, but Dio grew jealous of Jonathan an wanted everything for himself. He comes into contact with an old stone mask, that has the power to turn you into a vampire. Dio uses it on himself and is forever transformed, he had fallen and he likes his new dark powers. This is what sparks the ”eternal” fued between the Joestar’s and Dio, this series really takes a few timeskips over its course. We’ll get to see Jonathan’s grandchild, Joseph Joestar as a youngster and we see him to grow up into an old man, with a grandchild of his own, Jotaro Kujo. I won’t spoil anything more, but go watch it. Its a really great show.
I watch a lot of anime, I watch every chance I get. And now that I am home and sick, I can finally get around to watch of the winter seasons anime shows. Here are some that I liked particular for various reasons, I’ll give a good explanation of some. Other I’ll just rant a bit on the story, so its doesn’t follow some pattern here. But I’m watching them since I like them. =)
KILL la KILL
This is probably the craziest show of the season. From the team that gave us Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and Panty & Stockings. They have a very unique animation style and I can’t help but to like it. Here is the simple breakdown of the show, Ryuko a girl with one half of a giant scissor is looking for her fathers killer. The killer should have the other half of the giant scissor. She comes to a school where the the high-ranking students have clothes that give them superhuman powers. Her scissor is the only thing that can cut through these special clothes. Later she finds her own powerful clothes, but the clothes are alive and has a personality. It was made by Ryuko’s father. This was a very crude breakdown of the show, go watch it! It is funny and the animation is great and really special, just like all the stuff this team makes.
Machine-Doll wa Kizutsukanai
Raishin, a man seeking revenge for the death of his childhood friend, most people in this world seems to be able to control a ”puppet”, automaton or rather machine-doll or what you’ll like to call it. Not only that but he want to learn magic and become a great wizard, so he can get money, power and fame. But for what reason? Only for revenge? Hmm… Raishin’s doll is called Yaya and is the spitting image of his childhood friend. Its also apparently rare for dolls to look so much like humans, so we’ll see how Yaya impacts the story. I think it’s a pretty good mix of humor (not so much, action and a bit of pervertedness. Yaya wants Raishin hard! I fell for the series immediately, I didn’t think I would but I’m liking it so far. Oh, right maybe because its fantasy mixed pretty well with some modern stuff…
BlazBlue: Alter Memory
An anime based on the hit fighting game-series BlazBlue! I just needed to watch this, even if I’m not very interested in playing the games. The story and characters have always interested me and I love Daisuke Ishiwatari music, even if I think his Guilty Gear music is better. But I’m glad they are using the games music in the anime, it sound a bit remixed though. Not really sure what to think after the first episode, I felt pretty confused, but I got to see much of Noel so I’m happy. It wasn’t crap for me at least so I’ll continue to watch and see what happens.
Infinite Stratos 2
Well of course I needed a harem anime too and Infinite Stratos 2 fills that part pretty good. As the ”two” implies this is a sequel. It starts Ichika a typical doesn’t get that girls love him anime guy and he is surrounded by girls. In fact girls are the only ones which can use ”IS” a sort of mecha armor, but for some reason Ichika is the only male in the world who can use it. So he is in an all girls school, where he meets childhood friends and all that typical. You get really pissed at a guy like him, how the hell can a guy be so damn oblivious. I would love to be in his situation. I also have my favorite girl, Charlotte. I’d would spend all my time with her and make it clear that I liked her, if I was in Ichika’s situation. At least I’m not that goddamn oblivious. Pretty decent show, with some funny segments.
It’s no secret that I love anime, come on! Even the title to this is anime intros I like, dead give away! But before we had internet at home, the only way I could watch anime was on a German TV-channel called RTL2. So I hurried home from school to sit a couple of hours and watch anime, the stuff I missed I recorded. I did this everyday and I somewhat miss it. Thanks to this I learned German, I still have some problems writing in German but I can understand it. So here are some of my favorite anime intros in German. Since its a few videos posted and I don’t want to slow down the site too much, you’ll have to click in on this post. Some videos have crappy quality, sorry about that.
Digimon Season 1 opening
A classic for me! I just love that the German dubbers went with all the music from the Japanese version of the show and not the terrible music the English version got.
Dr.Slump – Opening 1 (New series)
I just love OP and ED with dancing. And I think this was one of my first encounters with just dancing openings. The song is catchy and I really like it. And yes, the series is made by Akira Toriyama.
Jeanne die Kamikaze Diebin – Opening (Jeanne The Phantom Thief)
I really don’t know what I can or should say about this opening. I just like it very much! And the show was/is pretty good too. It’s about an reincarnated Jeanne D’arc who hunts for demons (phantoms) inside of artifacts. I liked it.
One Piece Opening 3
I really like the singer, the happy go lucky style of the song. It’s just a nice and great song, I like it a lot more in German than the original. This intro also has a pretty good English dub.
Here is part 4 of anime intros I like! This time it’s from the ongoing season animes. Hope you’ll enjoy them as much as I do. There are various reasons too why I like these songs, as always. I won’t go to into why I like them, some I just really like since they sound good. There are often no other reason than that, or they make me feel happy.
Ixion Saga DT
One of my favorites of this season, I really fell for the melody and I think the lyrics are funny. (Goggle it). It’s a fantasy anime, nothing really special about that. But I thought I was going to hate this show, after a lot of grumbling I decided to watch it. I saw the intro and It hooked me real good! I’m in love with both the show and opening. Enjoy nutcracker the anime! ;)
Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!
An anime I really didn’t think that I would like, but after hearing the intro I quickly got into the anime. It an upbeat song that makes me happy each time I hear it. And I love how the images changes with the beat of the song, not that its anything special. I just love that kind of thing. I wish I could be a part of this gang, they all seem like fun people and I would probably fit in nicely with the strange people.
Onii-chan Dakedo Ai Sae Areba Kankeinai yo ne!
Another one with a real damn catchy intro! The series in itself is about a sister who loves her big brother a bit too much… Its a comedy harem anime show, if you’ve seen one or two you know what to expect! Still I do enjoy my harem comedies. Series is also called OniiAi, which more or less means brother love.

Its been some time since I last made a post about the anime intros I like. So here is post number 3 in this series, of anime intros I like. I recently gave Fairy Tail a fair chance and I love the series, much more than Naruto or One Piece. It fits me more than pirates and ninjas. I’m more fantasy magi kinda guy and Fairy Tail really delivers on that front.
I immediately fell in love with Fairy Tails third intro. I can’t get enough of the ”OOHHHH” and flute playing parts, they go so damn well together and are full of energy. The rest of the song is okay, but those two parts of the song really gets me revved up!
I really, really like the third Naruto Intro ”Kanashimi wo Yasashisa ni”. I like the music and how it sounds, not to mention the images that follow the song in the video. Starting of a bit sad, to slowly build and gain ”energy”. This song has actually helped me feel well, when I’ve been a bit depressed or needed to gain some energy. I loved it from the first time I heard it and its still my favorite Naruto opening.
The last one for this time if from Rosario to Vampire Capu2. Pretty ladies dancing, what more could you want? Not to mention its a catchy tune. Nana Mizuki has such a nice voice. I also like the flow of the animation in the video, it feels like they might have spent the series whole budget for just the intro. But its a nice upbeat song.
