I’ve spent the whole weekend with my friend Elden. It was a blast, I must say it was the most fun I’ve had in a while. We watched a bunch of movies and we’ve also had a retro trip. We played Duck Tales for the NES, man that was fun.
We played both games. And the first one is so much better, a bit more challenging compared to the second one. And it has much better music that the second game. I sure hope we can take on some other good games next time. We saw five movies over this weekend and here are my thoughts on the movies we watched, I’m not going to write much about them more on some than others.
Blade Runner
* I have never this movie before. My very first time and It was pretty good. I didn’t know what it was about or what to expect. But is was a good movie, I did however think it felt a bit long at times. But that’s about the only complaint I have. I do understand why it has become a classic and is liked by so many.
Couples Retreat
* A comedy with Vince Vaughn, not all that funny but it had its moments. Worth watching one time at least if you are bored. Kristin Bell was in it so it was something nice to look at at least.
Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow
* Great movie! With a nice comic book feel to it. I like the alternative 1950′s in the movie.
Planet Hulk
* People call Hulk monster, send Hulk into space. Hulk mad, smash ship. Crash on planet, becomes savior and king of people. Love the animation and I enjoyed it very much.
Justice League Crisis on Two Earths
* A new movie about Justice League, this time its about alternative dimensions and they meet an evil “Justive League”. A bit slowpaced at time, but a great great cartoon. James Woods as Owlman is so wonderful.
Daybreakers
* Most of the worlds population has turned into vampires and humans are nearly extinct. And blood is getting harder to find to the vampires are harvesting humans. It was an okay movie, Willem Dafoe was awesome!
I’ve been trying my best to not take in as much sugar as I did before. While I still eat snacks from time to time, its not as bad as it used to be. Which I’m very happy about.
I haven’t had any coca cola for 56 days either, that’s where most of my sugar intake came from. And as I said, I’ve been eating less snacks and candy. which is also a very good improvement on my part, and as soon as the weather gets better its time to go out and run a bit. Build up my stamina and start training more. I really, really want to get back into shape. Enough is enough! While I do drink some Fanta and Sprite from time to time, its much more controlled than before. Be gone, ye foul sugar!
It also seems like my friend Kntheking has gotten his Livejournal account hacked too. So if you have my old LJ account there, perhaps you should change your passwords. I don’t know it it has anything to do with it, but better safe than sorry. I’m not to concernd with my old account if I get it back or not, but it would be a shame for the friends I have who use it, to have theirs deleted. Well anyway I gave him a bit of my space so he could continue to make posts. You can find his new site here!
My friend Elden is also coming over this weekend I hope. We are going to watch a bunch of movies. Its gonna be a real blast. I’m really looking forward to it. We are gonna watch a classic that none of us have seen. Blade Runner. Yeah, we haven’t seen it so its about time! There will be more movies than that to watch, we just haven’t decided yet. But either way, good company over the weekend is great!
I noticed something strange today. I tried to visit my old Livejournal, but it says its about to be deleted in about 30 days. WTF? Sure I don’t post there anymore, I just used it to see some friends posts. And I can’t even log in. Strange…
It would seem its been hacked. But why the hell do they even bother?
And why delete it? I’m just glad I had a different password there than I have on other sites. I never have the same password for any sites.
Always a different one and yes. I’ve checked so I haven’t gotten the wrong password either. So I’ve sent messages to the Livejournal staff and we’ll see what happens.
If it doesn’t get solved, I’m not sure I’ll create another account. So to all those who I have on LJ, I’m sorry. Hope you’r not to disappointed. =/
Well late yesterday night (Friday) I had absolutely nothing to do. My computer had given up again, but it seemed for good this time. I had no movies to watch and no one was online to play White Knight Chronicles with me. It was a very saddening an boring night. Probably the worst day/night of the year so far. So it ended with me being so bored out of my skull and felt a bit depressed that I went to bed really early. Nothing wrong with that, but I’d rather it go to bed early because I’m tired not that I am so bored that I don’t know what to do!
Saturday was so much better since we got the computer working again and I played a hell of a lot of WKC online today, so it was very fun.
About 6-7hours was spent on the game today I think. We just said goodbye to each other just a couple of minutes ago. So I’m really gonna rest up now on Sunday, have to do some work that I shall hand in on a meeting I shall go to on Monday. A bit stupid to save most of the worst for the last day perhaps, but yeah shit happens.
And when I wake and have fixed the work I have, I’ll probably play some more WKC.
As I posted earlier my computer was starting to freak out on me again. So tired of this piece of shit. Well anyway my father got it running again without it turning itself of. Apparently there where massive glitches in the hard-drive, you could just touch it a tiny bit and it would die. So he replaced it with some old one he had lying around. The problem with this one is that its very slow. It takes time to copy something to the computer or copy to it. So I’m wondering, where can I find a new one cheap online? Since my computer is a bit older I can only have IDE 3,5 hard-drives.
So does anyone know of a Swedish online store that sells them cheap? I don’t care about the size of the HDD, I just need a new and cheap HDD.
I will build a new computer in the future, but that is when I have the cash to do so. And that’s way into the future for my part. so I have to make use of what I’ve got until then. Unless I can get something for my birthday in October, well that’s still all in the distant future. For now I would be very grateful if I could find a cheap new HDD. Thanks, hope I’ll get some answers for this question. Would greatly appreciate it.
EDIT: Apparently its not only the old hard-drive that was broken. Today I started to have the same troubles with the the replacement HDD I’m using. I’m starting to think the motherbord is giving up. Piece of junk! Well people can ignore this post then, since getting a brand new HDD won’t make it better… Guess I’ve got to try and save up on some cash to get a new computer. *sigh*
And the knight has done his duty well. A couple of hours ago I finished
White Knight Chronicles, which was a game I had waited a long time for. I was sold on the game since the first trailer, but It would take some time before I would be able to play it. The game was released December 26th 2008 in Japan, but for some reason the localization took its sweet time. It was released February 2nd 2010 in the US...
Thanks to it being in translation for so long, a lot of people lost interest in it. And I still wanted to see this game being released sometime last year. A shame it didn’t, I’m not sure it was worth the wait. But I did enjoy myself.
The gameplay battle-wise reminds me a bit of Final Fantasy XII, with its
MMOish-interface. If people hated it with FFXII, they are probably gonna hate it in WKC also. The battle-system works fine and is pretty fast, so I’ve got no complaints there. I like the graphics, but I wouldn’t complain it they could have fixed how some of the characters look. The story characters are fine but the rest not so much.
The music in the game is good, but I wouldn’t have complained if there was more variation in it. But the opening/demo theme with the violins in it rocks!
You create your own character in this game, that will follow the main characters through the entire game. This characters biggest role is in the online part of the game. Where he is the main star, but I wish they had made the character creation part a little bit better. Its easier to make a freakish character than it is to make a good looking one. Hopefully they will fix all the minor stuff to the sequel. I would say the game takes about 20-25hours to finish, depending on what you choose to do in the game. And it is a bit easy. While I see those to things as a bit of a let down, perhaps others will be glad to know its not a long game. Or very hard. But thanks to the online part, the games playtime will probably last for about 100hours. At least it wouldn’t surprise me if it lasted that long, to do everything online.
Great game that lived up to my expectations, 2010 has started of really well with first Darksiders and now WKC for my own part. I’m hoping this trend will keep on with Final Fantasy XIII & 3D Dot Game Heroes. If you are looking for an RPG for the PS3 I would recommend this title. The release for the game in Europe is either the 24th or 26th February. Hope the sequel to this game won’t take over a year to localize.
I’ve watch a lot animes in my time. So much that I’ve tried to put together a list of everything I’ve seen, I’ve stopped seeing and want I want to see.

over 15 years now, so its natural that I’ve gone through a few shows.
Here are the anime shows of Spring 2010 that interests me. Not sure I’ll be following them all from beginning to end, but I’m going to give them each a fair chance. Some if not all titles here has links leading to Anime News Network, where you can get more info on the series in question. There are more shows I want to see, but these are the ones at the top.
- Tales of Symphonia – Tethe’alla Chapter
The sequel to the first four episodes of the Tales of Symphonia anime. The first one took place on Sylverant and this will continue the story on Tethe’alla. For those who has played the game, you can pretty much guess what’s going to happen.
- Gundam Unicorn
I’m not a Gundam fan, but I really like the Gundam Unicorn figure/Gunpla. I did enjoy the 1st season of Gundam 00. So I’m giving this one a chance.
- Kaichou wa Maid-sama!
I know literally nothing about this series. Nothing more than its supposed to be a romantic comedy. Which happens to be one of my favorite type of anime series. So this could really turn out to be good or crap.
- Kiss x Sis
This is the perverse or “ecchi” show of the season. Gotta have one of those too. ;)
- Negima! Another World 3
I’ve watched everything else that has something to do with Negima! And I’ve enjoyed everything, the two first episodes of this OVA where nice. I have hope this one will be just as good.
- Ichiban Ushiro no Dai Maou
Besides it being a fantasy comedy, I don’t know much else. But from from pictures and little text iIve read, I’m very interested.
- B Gata H Kei
Yet another series I know nothing about. But it seems to be a comedy and I like anime comedy’s. So of course I’ll give it a shot!
I’ve been playing a bit of White Knight Chronicles for the PS3 the last couple of days. A really good game, I’ve had some trouble with enjoying in the last two days. Not because the game is bad or anything, I just think I’m getting sick. I have no energy or will to play. Its pretty frustrating and the fact I haven’t been feeling all that well. So its mostly been watching TV and sitting by my computer.
And speaking of computers, I’m fairly sure mine is done for now. It gets warm faster and just shuts down when ever the hell it wants. But its to be expected, its about 8-9 years old this year. And the previous owner didn’t take good care of it.
So I can hardly do a thing on it anymore, before it shuts down and I have to restart it. So no more photoshop or movie making for me… And I’ve said it before I won’t spend a penny on this computer anymore. I’ve already payed enough.
I’m hoping I can find some cheap crap to replace this one for now, just until I can build my own new computer. My family was probably going to help me with that, but its still like 5 months into the future. I just need something that I can use for that amount of time. But its not the easiest of things to find, not for what I can afford right now.
